You can also use the converter "Format Factory". It can covert Most of the video formats as well as audio formats. It can covert FLV as well as SWF file to any other format you like. Its interface is very easy to use.

FORMAT FACTORY

1. Select the format you like to convert the files in to from the left side bar.
2. If you want edit the bit rate and other properties. But the default settings is also good.
3. Then add all the files you want to convert. In your case the you tube flv files.
4. Then click Start and wait till its done.

Just try out the Win converter it has high quality of conversion of the video into avi
next in the line would be ashampoo it doesnt give out much quality but it asks out for the required size of the file we want at the end
and you can always try out total video converter
