Computer Hardware - discription about motherboard

today I downloaded several files, and after this I can't delete one of them , and the main
problem is that I can't turn off my computer... why ?? does anyone know this? please help me

I had a problem with my 40GB 4th Generation iPod. It was giving me the sad iPod icon. I tried
restoring it to factory default but it wasn't even detected. So I opened up the iPod and tried
reseating all the cables. I wasn't paying attention and forced the hard drive cable in (I know,
stupid thing to do especially for me). I'm usually more careful, but now the extra "pin" (maybe
a ground) at the end is broken and stuck into the wrong side of the hard drive. I put it in the
correct way now minus that "ground" pin at the end (which is still stuck on the other si...

sometimes my computer switches itself off at any moment without warning it just instantly turns off
i don't know if its when i run some programs or not cause if i try to save something on windows
movie maker it turns itself off and the turn on button won't work until i switch it off from the
back and then back on anyone know whats wrong?...

I was just wondering... Isn't this risky? What if it leaks? Is it really worth it? Let me know

I just bought a gigabyte K8N pro SLI mother board for a friend at a computer swap meet. At the meet

the board took PCIE or AGP graphix cards, he told me they took AGP, of course i then went and bought
an AGP card (Winfast A6600GT 128m). Is there no way that i can use my AGP card (short of buying a

Hi, is there any way I can add more IDE ports to my computer? I'm building a computer from
scratch and it's basically done. Just want to know how I can add more IDE ports since I plan on
adding multiple hard drives to this computer and with the current setup, there will be no more free
IDE ports. I did some searching before posting here and found some users mentioning a PCI IDE
Controller card. I searched online and all I found are ATA/SATA/RAID Controller Cards instead. Are
these the same? I know I had to use a controller card on my older Windows 98 deskto...

hi,, just today i cleaned my CPU fan and cleaned HotSink.. and after that my pc wont start.. fans
run in normal speed.. but not high speed (generally in startup for first 2 sec it run slow speed..
than run on high speed) and even my screen is not getting any ... like not attachend with my pc..

I have a Dell Optiplex GX 270 computer here and the problem is that it shuts down randomly when
viewing email in Outlook. It doesn't seem to do this when doing anything else online. Could a
network cause issue this kind of problem? I'm going to see if the other machines are doing this
as well. The funny thing is that the machine itself still seems to be running. The light on the

I have a computer headset that connects to my sound card. One connects to the audio and the other to
the mic. They both work but the only problem is that when i use the mic the voice on it comes out
soo extremely soft that you would have to turn your speakers on all the way just to barely hear it.
I checked the software that came with my soundcard which is a soundblaster X16 Live card btw. I
just want to be able to turn the volume up on it so i can use my microphone. Please pst if there are

My PC had been making strange noises and running slower, so I assumed it was time to clean the
fan/cooling fins. I opened the side panel thing to see cockroaches coming in and out of an open PCI
slot. So I got a PCI slot cover. When I moved the PC to my desk I found it look about like rat's
