Hello. I'm an astahost user with 25 Credits, so I'll be applying for hosting pretty soon. But one thing intrests me, I hear that the websites use Cpanel 10. Could we see a demo of this please?
I'm not familiar to Cpanel, so seeing a demo would help me greatly. Also, it would help prove to us non-hosted guys that those hoping for Cpanel aren't being scammed (not that I believe we are being scammed).
You don't have to concern yourself about being scammed. I used to frequent at Astahost's sister host trap17, and they have never scammed anybody. When they say you receive CPanel 10, they mean it. Unfortunately, I don't have a screenshot of the CPanel, I never took one when I was still utilizing my trap17 account. Basically, the CPanel front page features a blue-light striped background, a white foreground, and a number of icons possibly in the range of 24-32. Some of the features include the File Manager, Index Manager, MySQL Databases, PHPMyAdmin CGI Center and a myriad of others.
That looks cool! And best thing is, I'm only 3.5 Credits away from hosting, so I'll be using it soon!
Edit: Woah, Cpanel IS cool! I did a google search and found pages offering demos, and I tried one out and couldn't BELIEVE the power I had at my figertips!
Edit: I can tell you went for the Package 1 hosting Logan, those Space and Bandwith Stats are pretty low...
yes it is a pretty powerful piece of software as well as very user-friendly. you will be impressed as to what it will do for you. good luck on you website and all the power to you.
When I Try to access the CPanel, I am greeted with the 'Login Attempt Failed' error. The
default FTP account is not working either. I haven't had any modifications with my site yet, so
I am not sure if someone has hacked into my account. Is there any problem with the system? I have
not reset the password as I don't want to loose 10 credits over nothing. Please confirm if the
problem is pertaining to my account only....

WOW!! the Cpanel is BIGGGGGGGG and iam totally lost.. i cant even pick a thing to start with. and
mostly i cant find the "home page" and what are thoes files in my "files manager" what is this

i am new to this ASTA service and did try it yet and considering requesting an Account but i am not
sure about something. first the FTP: many sites have cheated on me with FTP account , does it work
with "my" FTP account meaning that i can connect to the FTP account using my own FTP client without
having problem uploading and downloading files?? and secoundly , the Cpanel. how does it look like
(friendly user interface) and is it easy to use non-like other hosting services which provide a
complex use Cpanel and even worst no help-Guide so you can start using it... adn...
Its been awhile since I access my account through cpanel, because I usually use dreamweaver to
upload all my files directly to the host. But as I try to access my cpanel, I go to a broken link.

Well, I was interested in adding SPF ( Sender Policy Framework ) records for my domain in order to
do my part in reducing SPAM. (This?) CPanel only has a single box for the mail exchanger rather than
allowing one to add a record. Is there some way to do this? When I was on the other side of the
hosting biz, I remember being able to add arbitrary DNS records from within CPanel....
a couple of days ago when I was putting stuff up on my web space, the cpanel page kept saying "page
can not be found" It would be up for a few minutes, then go down for a few minutes. It kept doing
this. Im not sure what was wrong....

Hi. I've got some email accounts on my domain and associated with astahost cPanel. Now, after
this hosting failure only my main account is working... the other accounts do not login me

tried to login through webmail instead of Outlook, without any success... Maybe I could delete the
accounts and re-create them again, but I see there are some mails in the inbox (I can see the disk

well i havent changed any passwords, and cpanel login box comes up, i type the name and password in,

Hello, I have just got my hosting approved and I can't seam to get anything working. I can't
point my nameservers to astahost yet so I can't get into cpanel by adding the /cpanel on the
end. I tried typing http://www.astahost.com:2082/ or http://www.astahost.com/cpanel and typing
in my username: oughtonm and password but it doesn't let me in. Could an admin help me out

Hi, I'm hoping to get hosting here with astahost. I'm going for the second package where
you need 30 credits. I noticed in the application it asks what subdomain you wanted to use. I was
just wondering, is that the only subdomain address that you can use or can you make a few different
subdomains after you've been accepted? I mean, is there a members area where you can make other
subdomains?...

WITHOUT logging out. 3. then, the browser showed error msg(error dns/site down). 4. the problem is

Normally I do al my work via ssh and ftp. I found the cpanel intersting especially the ability to

Logging into the cpanel I have to cancel the popup login and login from the webpage. Is that a
common issue or a setting in my browser? I changed the mx address to mail.ngc.astahost.com so this

hm, i got hosting, but for some reason, i can't find my cpanel or log in anywhere. i tried the
