Flightgear is a wonderful little program, it does take a while to load (i didn't know how to use it until i read up) but it is possibly the most brilliant idea for an open source software ever. I recommend this to everyone using Linux or Windows XP, as you'll have hours of fun with such a simple, open-source program.

to play windows based games why dont you install windows xp into another partition of your hard drive. then when you want to play and game boot it up in windows then play the games like normal?

it would be less of a hassle installing it in lunix or wanting for games that are ready made for lunix. it might not even install into the lunix system. or never intend to be released on a lunix system.

Giniu
I was never interested in simulations, but there for sure are some of them for linux... just look there: [The Linux Game Tome] - this Linux game database have (as today) 1559 games in different genres, with description, screenshot, link to homepage and disusion, if you are looking for linux games, there is everything you may ever need biggrin.gif

Well, playing games in Linux is not a new thing wink.gif but newer and better games are popping out for Linux indeed. I support gaming on Linux and the development of Linux. I'm a very big supporter if you go to Trap17 and search for my Linux posts.

  16. Choice Of Motherboard For Linux Virtualization - Who knows which ones work well? (4)
Virtualization is a relatively arcane subject, but it is one which is very rapidly growing, and
apparently very "hot" in commercial enterprises. For the hobbyist with multiple computers (I have
8), it offers the possibility of taking snapshots of running, fully configured applications and
operating systems, and transferring some or all of them onto a single computer platform. First, it
saves energy. Second, once the conversion has been made from real hardware to a virtual "guest,"
the driver problems associated with moving from one hardware platform to another are sol...

QUOTE "Linux" generally refers to an open-source Unix-clone operating system based on the Linux
kernel, written from scratch originally by Linus Torvalds and other smart people from across the

operating system, many other programs are needed to form a complete operating system. Various
commercial and non-commercial groups produce Linux-based operating systems containing the kernel,
all necessary programs, and an installer. These different versions of linux are referr...

  27. Virtualization In Linux: A Review Of Four Software Choices - (4)
    Virtualization is the technique of running a "guest" operating system inside an already-running OS;

available for Ubuntu Linux: the free, open source Qemu; the closed-but-free versions of VirtualBox

Well, I recently decided to switch over all my PC's to linux, and was stumped when I tried to

avidemux2 is an advanced native linux video editing and encoding tool with a GUI interface very
