if you do so, you'll probably break the rules at school.
have you tried using the tor network ? it's actualy a network to create secure (encrypted) connections, but it works as a proxy too. Problem is that it sometimes is a bit slow .

1. install privoxy/proxomitron/squid/sockd on a computer that's always on
2. forward a high port (>1024) that isn't common (like 1 + your house number) to the proxy
3. set up dynamic dns through a place like dyndns (this is free)
4. pop firefox portable on a usb key or your ipod or something similar
5. install switchproxy extension to firefox portable
6. configure switchproxy for your home proxy and enjoy.
The advantage of not using a common proxy is that websense updates to catch new proxy sites...the advantage of doing it from home is that if they catch you, you can just spoof a new mac onto your router at home and get a new ip address.
Standard disclaimer, I'm not responsible for you getting in trouble using this, I'm just providing the information.

My school doesn't block this (idiots) but go to Tinyurl.Com. Next type the url that is blocked-hit make my url tiny, and it will give you a new url. Write it down and copy it to url bar and you can get anywhere! (Sorry if your business/school blocks this)

Well this is easy -_- when a website you want to visit is blocked, just copy the url, go to command prompt and type ping then take the ip address and copy it into the browser. Simple, easy, and I never, ever, got caught! (btw, this site was blocked too :P )

hey I'm 14 and at school figured out that if you reach an "Unrecognized" category for blocking then copy the URL that it blocked and then add a question mark (?) at the end of the URL. Without the parenthesis. Your Welcome :)

Half of everything you read on these posts are plain ****, whether its http or https websense will ban it, it uses several techniques each one can be bypassed but the more you do it the quicker it will be taken away.
You used to be able to bypass websense by adding a // at the end of each domain or another . At the end but that has been fixed.
the ip address worked for about 2 weeks but then got fixed, the way it works with this is the browser takes the domain name and resolves to the IP for it, so, if you ban the IP on websense for facebook your not going to be able to get on there.
Where I work we can only access the company intranet which means there is no way out, at least with access to google I can get out by exploiting php boxs or running javascript in the address bar to connect to my home pc

So , I have ADSL connection but without proxy settings so I can't break proxy bqz I don't have proxy and if I try to use proxy my connection to internet shut down , I have a frind he told me if I change the ip addrees for my pc so maybe I'll be able to access the blocked Sites , Please can anyone help me, is the ip idea is right,and if it right how can I do't and can anyone give my this ip.

Hello, At my school Websense is used, and blocks any sites that haven't been pre-approved,
however, I seem to have found a bypass. By entering ?something=something or anything like that to
the end of an url, it seems to fool websense. I suggest you all try it, if it works, please tell me.....

I'd like to use the tor network when I'm connected to insecure (wireless) networks. This
works great for my browser (opera), but some programs don't support a proxy server (like the
messenger I use). Is there some (free) program that allows me to run Mercury (the msn messenger I
use) through the proxy (127.0.0.1:8118) ? Or does somebody know if this is possible with Privoxy

I have been reading about ssh tunneling for a while now but i cannot get it work. i have a shell
account at my school (say me@myschool.edu) and i can use a web browser there (links). I am using
putty as the SSH client. At my schools library i cannot use torrent programs or eMule as the

also a network user on the same WAN from a different building (LAN within WAN (I think, lol
