Ever Seen Bb Code Buttons Like These?

The main thing I don't really like about the Invision board is the crappy looking buttons that come with it and I downloaded a MOD that added more crappy looking buttons so I designed and made my own.

The mod I downloaded added a bunch of code that really only worked (with a few exceptions) with the Internet Explorer browser since they took advantage of filters and not CSS2 or 3 compliant code. So I scrapped the ones that didn't work on both browsers, and added some of my own.

Here's what I ended up with on an Invision that is running with PHP-Nuke (also modified to use Invision instead of phpBB2).

If you would like to see and actually use these buttons you can go to the site right here If you would like the file that creates this send me a PM either here or at that site PM Steve or Houdini and I'll set you up with that MOD instead of the ugly grey buttons that Invision standard uses. Just need to edit three files and of course add the images to your site.

Hahaa - nicee job houdini smile.gif damn cool. I wonder if you can transform these to accomodate Glassy-Look buttons - SMF has a theme named SMFOne, that employs the same.

Well first I need to download the softwar and then analyse it ... but yes I can do that, all it is is that I change the buttons to images and perhaps add new parse code and javascript to make it do what it should, It is all php, javascript and knowledge of HTML

Well I did alter and even add to the other posted BB Codes and here is the result of that.user posted image
These icons provide the ability to enter URLs, mailtos, images, Bold text, Italisized text, Underlined text, and strikethrough text, you can also easily enter an unordered list using one icon and following the prompts till your list is finished, and also marquees to the left right up and down, left justification, right justification, center justification, and full justification, you can also use code or if you want HTML , SQL and PHP all with syntax highlighting, also there is a little H with yellow that will highlight text with a color that you choose via a prompt, you can also enter subscript and superscript.

I guess I could use Adobe and make a galssy effect I just haven't tried it yet and since they are just gifs I guess it is possible but I am not the greatest with graphics. You have to admit it looks better than the standard HTML form buttons that comes with the IPB currently.

I like IPB's basic buttons, I hate the way they are in IPB 2.1 though, but in 2.0.x they are nice, I can't remember what 1.x was like though..

Have you checked out the same buttons of SMF - they're awesome.. I wonder it THOSE can be ported to IPB (shouldn't be very diffcult). Would give it a massive look revamp...
