I have a question.... What does XML stand for and waht is it used for? Like is it like html or some type of script?

XML is an alternative to a database. It is usually use to store only relevant data for an individual topic. Most News site use it. It can speed up the loading time of each topic.

Imagine a News site like BBC, they have tons of data store in their database. For an user to just read a story, the user will have wait a long time for the database to search for the user request. Therefore, most News site opt. to write a seperate XML/RSS/RDF for each topic to speed up the loading.

Hope my explaination is clear.
