| | Hey all,
i was just wondering, does astahost seem to take forever to update for you? for instance, you know the brute force attacks that rendered hosting applications on hold for a time, well, the message about that is still on the board. is it just me, or was that attack a good while ago?

Uhm messages (unless violations of the TOS or breaking of rules) stay on the forum. That's all really. The message will get replaced with a new one, when there's new urgent news.

That board message have to be removed by an admin, so if there isn't any admin who has time to do that it will not be changed. I think they have something better to do  -=jeroen=-

not a message, it's actually the forum description I think. You know how on the hosting requests forum, you put a big red message explaining about the brute force attacks? That's still there even though the brute force attacks were ages ago.

Yea I know I personally waited a fair while after seeing that because I assumed it was up to date and kind of just forgot about applying...then I looked lately and realized it was still there and checked and, lo and behold, people were applying and being accepted so I got off my ass and got mine posted lol. But I know that the warning about applications being on hold did indeed throw me off for awhile...if they were a long time ago it'd be best to remove them imo

Another thing, on the mainpage it's says you use cpanel 9, but my cpanel is telling me, it's version 10. If you update your main page on such things, it's maybe more attractive for people.

Forwarding Email
How to foward Astahost Default Email (5) Instead of checking my astahost webmail, is there a way to forward my emails to my existing email
account? For example, my default email address is doudou@doudou.astahost.com and I would like to
receive it through my gmail or yahoo since I will check it more frequently. How do I do this? Note,
this is not the same as setting up a forward/alias email, I know how to do that. Thanks ....
Could A New BBCode Be Added To Astahost ?

Does Astahost Allow Http Put
(7) Does Astahost allow http PUT requests. I am writting a program and I am looking for a quick simple
way to transfer a file to astahost. I would like to use PUT but I'm not sure if Astahost is
allowing it. The directory that I am working with has world write access. If Astahost does allow

Domain Name Wrong And Not Working
Help me in my sub astahost domain name (2) Basicaly my problem is about my sub-domain name in astahost. For weeks ive been using the
saga.astahost.com and it was fine, since i haven finnished yet the whole package for my website, i
loaded some html on it, so basicaly its empty. Now, lately when i login to my cpanel using of course
saga.astahost.com/cpanel, I was surprised that it was written theere in the cpanel that my
sub-domain name is ad36.astahost.com. So what i did was tried to create html to see if
ad36.astahost.com will work, but sadly it didnt, the error reposted by the browser is it can not
find the sa....
Ip Address For My Site
Is it for my subdomain or for Astahost? (3) I've tried to access my webpage http://www.abhiram.astahost.com by typing in the IP address
that is mentioned in CPanel i.e. 69.50.168.69 . But instead, it goes to http://www.astahost.com .
Am I doing something wrong or is that how it is? If it is supposed to go to astahost, is there a way
to access my site by an IP address? Thanks.....

It links back to AstaHost front page?!! (3) This morning, I set up a subdomain for my domain hypercubical.cjb.net , which is
forum.hypercubical.cjb.net . After I set it up, I immediately went to it to test if it works.
Strangely, it links back to Astahost's front page... So, I waited an hour for it to change,
which it didn't, untill I had to go to school. While I was in school, I checked it again, and it
