Yeah, I like them too.
They are great to have in signatures, especailly for e-mail where you should avoid HTML. I used to put my name in ascii characters on the cover sheet of my projects at school, of course then I spent too much time doing it all by hand and it took a long time.
Those are useful. I have been just doing it by hand. I have seen things like this but none of them were as good of quality as these.
Nice find!
ever used the aalib pluggin for media players like mplayer or xine...
ive watched entire movies... and played games such as quake2 in ascii art... now THATS impressive..!

Ok, perhaps I shouldn't add this.. So if anybody has a problem with it, tell a moderator to remove the link. I personally find it funny and anybody who takes it seriously is seriously weird and needs to get out more

Hehehe, I watched Star Wars that way in school (for some reason our teacher loved it and we all could watch LOL). The benefit of this is actually that it doesn't require huge ass computers to play ASCII art movies I just don't have the patience it takes to actually make graphics in ascii, I just don't. And now I think I need to shut down my poor computer (it's over 37 Celsius in my room and my CPU is not getting cooled anymore because the room temp is too hot)
Ouch, I wish I would have known about this when I had to do a project a few months ago copmpletely in ascii art. Mine ended up coming out stupid but oh well, I still got full credit for it. I like the first site the most, and I think I'm going to use those two sites on my site, to make it a little better that is. Thank for sharing that with us, even if I'm the only one here who didn't know that they exisited. I really appreciate it.
