Apple Buys P.A. Semi
(5) Today Forbes reports something unthinkable, something no one saw coming. Something so big, one
wonders, WHY IS APPLE W/ INTEL IN THE FIRST PLACE?!?!? Today, Forbes reports that Apple Inc. just
picked up P.A. Semi for $278 million. P.A Semi was founded in 2003 by Dan Dobberpuhl. Dobberpuhl was
the lead designer for the StrongARM processor which became Intel's XScale when DEC Corporation
folded. The company had 150 employees during the purchase, many of them had experience designing
different processors from Intel Itanium, AMD Opterons to Sun Microsystems' UltraSP....
Apple Cripples Modified Iphones
omg they are up to it again!!! (11) Well well Apple are up to dirty tricks once again!!! hey wait a sec aren’t these the same guys
who cry like babies whenever another company such as Microsoft does something they feel is
"underhand" What they have done this time is to make it so that anyone who has "unlocked" their
simcard in the Iphone to be able to use it on non AT&T or in the UK O2 networks, cannot install any
updates for the phone ever or it will get junked and not be able to be repeaired by Apple or their
stores. Apple have locked their customers in to ridiculous deals with the only one mobile ....
Create The Beautiful Reflections Used By Apple.com
(6) Ok, if you have ever browsed apple.com, you see they have great reflections to show off their
hardware/software/etc. In this tutorial I will show you all how to make a great reflection. Step
one: Workspace First you need to find what you are reflecting, and be sure that it is already
cut out (no background). This works especially well with a screenshot of their program iTunes, so
that is what I will demonstrate with. Now, create a new file that is able to support double the
height of the object. Step 2: Fill and Copy Object Fill the background with any colo....
Firefox On Apple Computers
(3) The latest Firefox browser, Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6)
Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6, has lots of problems. I find that it does not work well with .asp
pages, crashes often when browsing .jsp pages and when it crashes it deletes your page history.
These are just a few of my huge list of problems. I would use Safari, but it is not very secure.

Alter Ego
Apple IIe (0) I was looking around for the old Apple IIe games (Oregon Trail, Number Munchers, etc...) and
stumbled upon a little gem pre-dating "The Sims" called "Alter Ego." This game is text-based (with
some graphics) basically asking a series of "what would you do?" questions and keeping track of your
personality traits. It seems boring at first, but after awhile, you sort of get into it more. If you
like the Sims, this game might interest you. You can start out at any time period in your life,
(Birth, Childhood, Adolescence, Early Adult, Middle Age, Old Age) but you get the mos....
Apple Iphone At The Apple Store
free calls! (5) Well, I was at the apple store yesterday, and I decided to try out the new apple iPhone, which has
been the talk of the town ever since it first came out. Then I wondered how the call quality was, so
I called a US number from it, and it worked! Free calls to the US from within the Apple store!
I'm not sure if it's intentional that calls were allowed to be made, but hey, it still was
free. I tried a foreign number with it too, but I got no reply from the person whom I was calling.
I'm not sure if it's because calls aren't alllowed from the Apple stor....
First Apple Then Cisco Now Comwave !
(4) Surprisingly enough another name came into picture yesterday, Comwave Telecom Inc. This Canadian
company seemed to have owned the IPhone trademark since 2004. Plus it has a wireless device called
the IPhone Mobile. Comwave does not intend to change its name just cause of some big shot US

Cisco Vs. Apple
Your everyday trademark infringement claim! (11) I'm sure by now everyone has heard of the Cisco Systems, Inc. vs. Apple Computer, Inc. for
trademark infringement of "iPhone". This is a really childish case & waste of money, IMO. I believe
it was said on the news that Cisco would have probably let Apple use the trademark had they asked.
You'd think a company as old as Apple would have a legal department with some competence in it.
It was Apple's responsibility to check trademarks before naming the product. I explained
this case to someone like in a way like this: If I go and create a coffee brand calle....
Some Cool Apple Prototypes
That Never Made It to Production (3) There's hardly anything I can add to this article - you've to see for yourself. The
prototypes are quite interesting and some of them stemmed out of really cool ideas.
QUOTE(AppleGazette.Com) For every Apple product we see on the shelves, there are dozens that
never make it to production. Sometimes, these rare gems surface on the web for us to take a look at,
and ponder what might have been. Scouring through the interweb, I’ve compiled this list of 5 Apple
products that only the most hardcore of hardcore MacAddicts have ever stumbled across.

Cisco Simulation Software
(0) Hey, Does anyone know of some free Cisco network simulation software? I have Packet Tracer 3.2 from
Cisco and it is "ok" but not the best. I was wondering if there was better software. Even if it

Apple Turns 30...
An extensive coverage of Apple's products over the years (2) Hello everyone, I just received an e-mail notification from CNet.com, which of course has been a
major player in the worlds of information technology and internet services for God knows how long.
This notification was about their release of a very extensive all-out coverage of Apple's
products over the past 30 years. The reason for this, obviously, is Apple's turning 30. You

Apple To Buy Palm
(10) Rumors are running rampant lately and today we hear that Apple may be evaluating a Palm purchase.
This rumor comes about after two of Palms biggest investors are calling for the company to be sold.
There are a few connections that link Palm and Apple—some more concrete than others. They are
located close to each other, some of the early Palm employees are previous Apple employees and Jobs
has already taken a stab at buying the company back in the 90s. Treo Newton 800p nanoite? Let’s hope

Domain Names And Trademark Disputes
How these two relate (2) Domain names are by the Internet Corporation For Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN:
http://www.icann.org/) and the names can be registered through ICANN approved registrars. Once you
register a domain, your name, home address and telephone number can be accessed by anyone on the
web, unless you protect it through a proxy, showing the proxyhost's information. Most people use
this to protect their personal information, but those with bad intentions do so to spam. But my
discussion point is, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO: http://www.uspto.gov/....
Microsoft, Google Settle Over Employee

Apple Ipod: Trademark Issues
(6) I just read this in Maximum PC, December 2005 issue that "sellers of iPod-related accessories were
recently forced to remove the music-device's trademarked name from product names and website
URLs. Thus, iPodlounge.com, for example, must now be called iLounge.com. Sellers were also" told how
they can refer to Apple products, "...including the demand that the iPod always be referred to as an

something like this for their trademarked names... haha.. go Apple.. /tongue.....

Apple Switching To X86, And Why Consumers Shouldnt
really care. (9) Everyone is getting so excited about Apples Port to x86 from PPC. First of all, out of everyone who

Why I Like Apple Less And Less.
(20) I have a problem with Apple's attempts to limit the PC's that the new x86 port of OSX runns
on. In the oldern days, Apple produced a product you couldnt gt anywhere else, a Desktop computer
running the PPC architechture (a competing arch to x86). both x86 and PPC have there advantages.
With there Unique product, Apple also gave a Free Operating system called FreeBSD, which it
customised a little, and added a new interface ( Aqua ) This was all fine and good. Then they Port
OsX to the x86 architechture, meaning that MacOS can run on any computer following the ....
Apple Using Intel Chips
Do I smell merger (13) I was reading earlier today regarding the announcement made by Apple to start using Intel chips.
Although I am not one to jump on a conspiracy theory this did strike me as a little odd when I first
heard it. That being said I wanted to share the following like with you all regarding Intel possibly
setting up to purchase Apple and kick Microsoft back in the hole a bit. I’m sure there is nothing
