| | I tried to use a php script to send an email, and it sends to most email accounts. But not aol accounts. This isn't because it has no from field, I gave it one. Is SMTP set up correctly so that the mail() function will use SMTP to send emails? Any other ideas on what the problem is?

Did you try it with send mail instead of SMTP? Additioanally, are you sending plain text or html. I never did like AOL and all of its imperfections. I'm a firm believer that they should warn their users that they have decided to use the worst possible service provider avalible. vujsa

According to trekkie, aol blocks sendmail and only allows SMTP, but I will try it. Does sendmail use an http header? ~Viz

Html Emails How?
(12) How on earth do you create HTML emails? I have been searching Google for some time now and can find
ABSOLUTELY no information what so ever on how to ACTUALLY create HTML content emails. It just a
bunch of programs and Microsoft applications, or testing facilities, I don't need any of this,
there must be some coding system to it? I tried emailing using basic direct HTML tags (like ), but
it fails (it just shows ), so how can I do this? I am not looking for anything really fancy, I

Thunderbird And Gmail
All emails not downloading properly (5) OK. I finally got internet connection at home, and I downloaded all the opensource goodies. I
downloaded Mozilla Firefox, and Mozilla Thunderbird. I setup Thunderbird to receive my GMail mails
using the GMail POP3 facility. I wanted to download all the mails from my GMail, and hence I chose
the proper radio button in the 'Forwarding and POP' tab in GMail settings. What happened
then, was that mails would get downloaded, and sometimes when connection timed out, and it started
