Letting Users Add Mysql Data With Php
(1) I'm curious as to the best methods of letting users submit data to a MySQL database, displaying
that data, and removing any unwanted tags etc. from it. Currently, there's a handful of PHP
functions that I know of to help with this: mysql_real_escape_string() - perhaps the best known
and most commonly used function, it should be used in pretty much any MySQL query. It escapes
characters that have SQL significance. QUOTE(php.net) ...which prepends backslashes to the
following characters: \x00, \n, \r, \, ', " and \x1a I like....

Vmware On 946intel Board Problem
sound card not recognized (6) I installed VMware on my desktop, which has a 946GZIS motherboard with a Sigmatel Audio Controller.
It runs fine as a normal system, but in VMware it won't register the sound card. In system
hardware, it's just got the yellow question mark and says the drivers are not installed. But
i've tried installing it off the Intel CD, plus i've downloaded the drivers from Intel as
well, but they just install and want to reboot the computer, but don't seem to have any effect.....

Xmb, My Favourite!
My favourite free board. (1) XMB is definitely my favourite free board available! I'm going to get rid of my phpbb forum
i installed a few days ago (after reading another topic i dont want it) and upload XMB. XMB is easy
to use (only if you know what your doing though). The admin panel is also good. I choose forums
usually partly on the admin panel as well as how good it is. Ummm... I just downloaded XMB. it wont
let me rename or delete the folder or anything in it. It wont let me change it t just forums. I was
going to upload it to my site but i cant rename the folder. help?....

Help Looking Up Users.
I need some help with looking up users. (4) OK so can anyone show me a file that will connect to an sql server with an user inputed quary? So
here is an example of what I want to do: You go to a page to find information about James, you would
type in example.php?user=James and the page would find all the data about James (all the tables),
then display it as an echo. I already have my users set as unique variables so only one person's
information would be echoed. The page name and "user" variable doesn't matter. Do you understand
me? I am having trouble explaining it. If someone could show me a code that do....

there is a Powercolor Radeon 9800 XT (265MB Ram) installed. You know... this card supports the

the board have won awards for most powerful forum software available, now vbulletin (IMO) is a more

Phishing In Myspace
Any users of myspace should have a read. (8) A friend of mine had some trouble with a guy posting comments on her myspace page. He posted
messages that once loaded into the users browsers, would redirect the user back to the myspace login
page. I checked it out and found out that it was more than a little problem. The message that was

Transfering Invision Power Board
