Billu announces 2 Dual Mode Internet Phones exclusively designed for WML in the International Consumer Electronics Show .. Here are the Details .. QUOTE Uniden's WIN 1200 Digital Cordless Phone and the VOIP433 by Philips both serve as a traditional landline phone, but take calling to the next level by also enabling customers to make and receive Internet calls via Windows Live Call, a feature nestled in MSN Messenger's successor. Customers will have three calling choices: free PC-to-PC incoming and outgoing calling, low-cost PC-to-phone outgoing calling, and standard incoming and outgoing calling via traditional landline phone service. The cordless plug and play phones allow you to see your contact list (including statuses) from virtually anywhere in the house and place calls to those contacts.
The VOIP433 will debut in Europe, Asia Pacific (Autralia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore) and Latin America (Argentina, Brazil) and be available for purchase in the spring of 2006. No release date for the WIN 1200 yet, but the retail price is set at $99.99. Wonder what Nokia thinks .. .. what if we have a Nokia + M$ venture ? .. Nokia Symbian Phones with Green Screens of Death or maybe they would just prefer Blue .. Regards Dhanesh.

Vixy.net: Online Flv Converter
(0) I found this site about a month ago, and I've found it very userful. Basically, its an open

online and download it. There is also a downloadable application that does the same thing. Its
in its beta stage, and can be pretty slow from time to time, but its definitely very useful. Also,
if you want to Rick Roll somebody on your iPod, this is how you're going to do it. Here is the

Google Launches Online Presentation App

a basic Presentation creator. However, contrary to all earlier speculations - they haven't named

Windows Coa Labels - Now Torn For Your Security!
(12) It's not really NEW news, but I only found out about it today! I found it pretty strange, but
that's Microsoft for you! QUOTE Microsoft redesigned the COA label as a running change from
Aug/2006 as a part of piracy prevention. The new COA label has a transparent Port-Hole (as
circled in red) which prevents a removed COA label from being reaffixed. The Port-Hole area of COA
is not affixed to the body of the computer and may lift slightly and get chafed during
transportation. As a result there is a possibility that some customers may raise inquiries becau....
Microsoft Silverlight Technology
A new addition to the Windows Live family (3) Microsoft has released a new development platform (I think it is) called Microsoft SilverLight. It
is supposed to bring rich, interactive, streaming media into a cross-browser, cross-platform
environment. (Personally, I think they are ignoring Opera). The development team is working hard to
get this running on Firefox as well as Internet Explorer. They are adding support for "major,
leading browsers" quickly and efficiently when possible. Macintosh users (for Mac OS X) can also
download this application which is under 2MB in size. You can download SilverLight 1.0 Beta ....

Google To Revamp The Translation Logic
An attempt to try and win the crown in online instant translations (2) QUOTE Ventures into online machine based translations haven't met with much success so far -
at least not to a degree that can be called phenomenal. While smaller words / phrases / sentences
translate fine, the translator engines perform rather pathetically when it comes to large chunks of
text. Translation engines have been around since the early 90's, when AltaVista came out with
its famous Babelfish . In general, the online translators are pretty good and are able to convey
the essence of the translated text. However, translator engines fair miserably ....

Linux Needs Windows To Run!
Dugg it up on Digg (12) This is just absolutely L-O-L comedy right here. This is the classic ignorance and computing. Ok, to
sum up this loser, he thinks that Linux runs on Windows and so does Mac OS X and OS/2 failed because
of Microsoft. Here's one of my favorite paragraphs in one of the earlier posts of this guy:
QUOTE Linux may seem like a good alternative to Office, but all that is happening in linux is that
the windows interface is cleverly hidden away. It still needs the drivers and software services in
order to run, and in most cases - that happens WITHOUT a valid windows licenc....
Gartner: Vista To Be Last Major Windows Release
Era of monolithic deployments is ending, research firm says (4) QUOTE December 14, 2006 (Reuters) -- Research firm Gartner Inc. predicts that Windows Vista
will be the last big release of Microsoft Corp.'s Windows operating system. The era of
monolithic deployments of software releases is nearing an end, and Microsoft will participate in the
trend toward more flexible updates, Gartner said in a list of forecasts for 2007. Gartner also
expects that the blogging trend will peak in the first half of 2007. Given the average life span of
a blog and the growth rate of blogs, the research firm predicts the peak number of blogger....
French Parliament To Dump Windows For Linux !
Another Feather In Linux's Cap (17) According to a recent posting in ZDNet Blogs as reported by By Christophe Guillemin of ZDNet

Windows Vista Too Strict?

design class today when I overheard about the restrictions and cons about Vista. I know it
didn't come out yet so that's why I am not sure if this is correct. One of the guys said
that Microsoft is making Vista more strict than the previous versions. He said that if one was to
practice copyright infridgement for music or videos and whatnot then the information would then be
sent to microsoft and to the authorities and let them do what they have to do. The other guy s....

Pen Drive Ram On Windows Vista
Features on Windows Vista (13) I recently viewed the homepage of Windows Vista on Microsoft's site. It says that Windows
Vista can use a pen drive (USB 2.0) as additional RAM to speed up the memory. My question
is that we use RAM because the hard disk is SLOW. We do have a swap file, but we don't use it
much because it slows down performance! So, how can it be that the USB Pen drive be as fast as the
RAM? Its max. speed is just 153.3kbps So won't that be slow too? How can that act as additional
RAM? Is Microsoft trying to fool innocent buyers? This is outrageous! -O....
