| | Okay, I've had this problem for close to a year now...
For some reason, the menus from the top of the Windows Explorer disappeared. This includes the "File Edit View ...." menu, the menu bar with back, fwd and up buttons (called the Standar menu, I think) and the "address" field to which you can type the directory.
Believe it or not, there is no way you can get any of the menus back if you have lost all of them. Normally you can change the menus by right clicing over one of them, but as I don't have any...
So where are these setting stored? In the registy I guess but I haven't managed to find it yet. Or is there another way to restore the menus?
By the way, I'm running Win 2000. |

Funny situation  - never came across it before. Try your luck at www.annoyances.org though - they deal exactly with these kind of situations - i mean, all the day to day annoyances you encounter with the whole windows family. Very likely to find a solution there. Recommendation: Use Total Commander (http://www.ghisler.com/download.htm) - which is a two pane file manager (similar to what used to be Norton Commander for DOS) and hell of a lot more convenient that explorer's irrtating Folder | File display. Far easier to view two different drives in these two panes and move/copy files between them. Give it a shot. Regards... Yeah it was pretty annoying as I was so used using win explorer. I have used Explore XP to replace it, but usually going through My Computer works just fine for me. Now off to check that site, thanks for the link. EDIT: I got this solved. Not straight from annoyances.org but through few links. I opened the explorer in full screen F11 and then right clicked on its menu.

Windows 98 Transfer

Windows Time Problem!

system, CMOS and Windows says it's 6:44 (or 6 whatever) PM when it is really 10:44 PM. I'll

Someone is having so much problems with this machine and I think it's the Operating System

Is it possible to create a folder named "CON" in Windows? (23) I tried in both Windows XP Home and Professional. If you try to make a folder named "CON" Windows XP
renames it back to what it was. So creating a new folder with the name "CON" just renames it to "New
Folder". The bug seems like a variable that got treated as a string or vice-versa. Trying to create

Windows Not Recognizing Ipod
(47) OK, I'm running Windows XP and my iPod is not detected when I plug it in. The only things that
I could guess are wrong are that I recently had a trojan, known as BackDoor-AWI and that my router
