Was a bit confused about where post it... (There/Linux/Graphics-Multimedia Software...) - hope that I choosed right... if not I don't mind moving it around a bit 
I'm looking for a way to create a video tutorials (or other words - capture the screen to video...) - I know that this is simplest that I can think - but I want to find a good and checked way. I know that there is a Video Tutorial about creating a video tutorial (for windows) in Blender 3d resorces, but this is not what I need...
I'm interested in free (best if open source) software to capture the screen in Linux - anyone have some experience with it? which apps are good and which not - also if you can point me to some good tutorial this can be enougth as an answer...

I dont know if Macromedia has a version of Macromedia Captivate running on Linux. This is a cutting edge tool that I've ever used. It's worth to have a look at it. Others are also available on Windows (I'm not sure if they supports Linux, google it and find out yourself) Hey, wait, if you could not find any screen recorder on linux, here is the tip. - Install VNC or similar service on your linux box
- Run VNC client on a Windows machine and connect to the one running Linux
- Install Macromedia Captivate or whatever software you'd like on Windows machine and start recording the VNC client screen
Hope it helps you out. PS: final solution is GOOGLE, he could help you out too but may be slow,

Thanks for your help, but I think that they aren't freeware (as I looked at their websites...) - also they are for windows... does anyone know about something that is free and supports linux?
