Do you know any other piece of software that can handle the manipulation of .PSD images other than Photoshop?
I actually have Photoshop 8.0 CS, but I'd like to know if there was a simpler application to use.
I don't need any sophisticated tools, really. All I want is for that application to allow font and color editing of .PSD files.

I know that PhotoImpression3 supports .PSD files, but it isn't a very good program, at least not as good as Photoshop. Maybe if I find some link I'll post it here. May I ask why you don't just use Photoshop? If you search for a somewhat easier application I think PI is a good choice. Hope I can find a link. -=jeroen=-

Actually, warbird, I wanted a lighter application. I have to do some work on a very old, very slow computer, and although Photoshop does run on it, it's insanely slow. But what is PI? Thank you for replying. Take care.

Gimp has support for PSD files. I could save an image as a PSD file and then open it in Photoshop to slice it up for a web template. You can get it from here.

But isn't GIMP a bit heavy on system resources. It works fine on my personal computer, but I've heard it caused problems on older computers. I can't remember what its system requirements were. Well, I should go check it right now. Thank you, abhiram. :-)

I have a program I've been using for a few years called IrfanView, it supports pretty much everything. You can also load your PS filters and apply them to your image in IrfanView. It doesn't use styles or blend modes, and I don't think you can add text, but it's really small and lightweight, so I use it mostly for resizing and making abstract wallpapers with the filters. If you're just looking for something to do the basic crop, resize, color, and filter... You should definately check this out. IrfanView

Cannot Install Adobe Photoshop Cs3
(30) Hi, I have been trying to install adobe photoshop cs3 for a little over a week now. The problem is
when I'm installing at the end it says it has successfully installed shared components, but has
failed to install photoshop cs3 and shared components. This is really annoying because nothing that
I have found on the internet helps. Other people have had the same problem, but thats because they
have installed beta versions, which I didn't install! I have tried the CS3 clean-up tool from
adobe - that doesn't help either! The only other adobe/macromedia products....

Photoshop Cropping Problem
(9) All right. For most of my Photoshop work, I use Photoshop 6.0. Yes, I know it's old, but it
gets the job done, not to mention I just don't have the money of Photoshop CS or Photoshop CS2

A Free Graphic Design Program That Could Equal Photoshop?

(8) I am using photoshop CS2. There is a problem of memory usage. When I run photoshop CS2 (just run
the program, no image is loaded), it eats up all my physical memory, as well as page file. I try
the fix the problem by seting the memory usage to 35% in preference. However, this does not work.

PHP Software?
What are some suggestions... (8) For my php stuff I have been using dreamweaver with apache 2.0 and PHP 5.0, one of my friends
mentioned this program and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it. The program is
Zend Studio Server/Client. Its seems to be some sort of Dev Environment for PHP. If anyone here has
used it or has any idea of whether its worth using it would be greatly appreciated. Or else what

Photoshop Cs2
(5) Well, I finally managed to get photoshop cs2 in place of 7 (i don't use it much - just my sis)
but when i first started it, it told me that my monitor profile (LG Flatron L1720B) was incorrect. I
clicked on ignore , but then it began to show the colour white as a bit yellowish. i ain't a pro

about the software used for screen capturing.. i have been using camtasia since last 3 weeks.. and
the result is pretty nice.. camtasia is a program to capture everything on your screen.. image,
videos and so on.. you can convert these images and videos into another format like .avi, flash, and
so on.. for me.. camtasia is one of the best software for screen capturing......
Installing Photoshop 7 On A Second Computer
(10) Hey, I have Photoshop 7 on 1 of the computers in my house. In another one of the computers in my
house, (which dosent have photoshop) I want to also get Photoshop7 on that computer. I bought a usb
flashdisk(kingston 512MB). If I go to My computer/file,document, adobe,photoshop7, and drag that
into my USB flash disk. And then take that USB flash disk and then put it into the other computer
and then If i try to open It. Will it insall onto that computer? Is this even possible? If it is and
there is a way of doing it can you please post it? Thanks.
