| I was just wondering why my application for web hosting was considered to be fraudulent? I logged in to the billing and support area and it said on the application details it was classed as fraud and was highlighted in red for terminated. Was there some form of problem with my account? |
Open a ticket at XistoSupport and ask the question, there is probably an error somewhere.

Yeah I've filed myself a ticket now explaining the situation, I was just wondering why they had set it to fraud and if anyone else had this problem before. I thought it was strange the colour of my account on the billing section was red, then I noticed the key beneath it said red meant 'Terminated'.
So has anyone else had this happen to them or is it just I've been denied hosting do you reckon?
you probably gave a strange answer to one of the questions (strange domain name for instance).

Well I was wanting purchase a .com as well, drug-mann.com and added to the end I was only purchasing the basic package while I was still building my mmorpg which is about halfway to being finished, then once it was ready i would upgrade the package as needed. Still no response to the support ticket but it is the weekend after all lol

hmm, domain drugg-mann sounds like alarm. and hosting sites on drug, tobaco, viagra is like trouble for most of the hosting sites. so they deny application which are going in that direction.
maybe you can explain what you want to host in here. that will solve problem ? if you intend to host drug, viagra and tobaco then i think this is not the host for you.

Ok, the problem has now been solved. It turns out the account status was set to fraud because when I signed up for the package I had entered the email address for the game instead of the email address I used to sign up to the forums and billing and support. This automatically set my account to fraud. It's all sorted now and my web hosting account is now active. Thanks for the help guys.

MYSQL service is bouncing connections (2)
Hey guys there seems to be a problem with teh MYSQL service on Gamma..ITs giving a "Too Many
Connections" error message to any request its being given at the moment..also I notice that the
trap17 hosted server seems to have the same errors..is that gamma server too? On the server status
page its listing as the MYSQL service as up and running and ok ..but its not.. I think it needs a
reboot..hopefully this can be sorted soon.. Thanks!!....

Hello all! I have noticed that the last approved account was on July 3 or 4th. It is now the 22
I wanted to know what was going on with that and I am sure some others do as well. I also read
some where that you need something like 50 posts to get the service, I was unaware of this
situation. I wouldn't have posted anything in that case. I like to write lengthy responses that
make sense and are thorough so in 5 posts I recieved 36. points. Now normally it wouldn't bother
me to continue up to 50, but I read somwhere that it doesn't matter how many points....

I requested my web hosting account a few days ago and got it as approved but I am surprised as I am
unable to register with an error message showing that the sub-domain (amitbhandari.astahost.com)
doesnot exist, however I have already sent this sub-domain name as a request. Please help me and
let me know whether it takes some time to get registered after being approved. Also, I looked on
homepage of astahost and found that SSH is available. It is going to be very useful to me as I am
a dial-up user and this will help me uploading files in compressed format and de-com....

Hi, I'm hoping to get hosting here with astahost. I'm going for the second package where
you need 30 credits. I noticed in the application it asks what subdomain you wanted to use. I was
just wondering, is that the only subdomain address that you can use or can you make a few different
subdomains after you've been accepted? I mean, is there a members area where you can make other
subdomains?....

I have added a little script which may ensure that cpanel, ftp problems and downtime are the members
connections at fault instead. Whenever you have a major problem like Cpanel down, please do not make
a post in support about it untill u have waited alittle while and/or checked out the Server Status

Hi, I've now solved my trouble with XOOPS and it seemed that there was a bug in the include
folder, as I did delete it and upload my own include folder and then solved the problem. I might
think that you have to reinstall the hosted script. Further is there also a new ver at xoops
homesite, ver. 2.0.7.9 (beta). Thanks anyway Brgds Jens....
