Step 1 ) create a new doc and type your text Step 2 ) right click on layer(text) and select "resterize layer", rotate your text (Image > Rotate > 90 CCW ) and apply wind filter ,do this three times. and finally rotate text to normal position. Step 3) right click on the layer and Duplicate layer and go to Filter > Blur > Motion Blur-90 and distance as 45. Step 4) select the Eraser and remove blure from the top of the text ( layer 2). Step 5) Merge two layers, for these press Ctrl+E ,and then apply Filters > Stylize > Find Edges
Now you can see your work like ice |

The reason it's good to put what software you are using version and all are for googlebot, when the pages are indexed and you perform a search on google nobody will know that this topic was in photoshop... Nice, i use Adobe Photoshop CS so i think that's something like version 8  but anyway, nice tutorial, i could use this text to make a nice graphic for my forum. Do you know any more good tips? Thanks -Lewis P.S Do you think you could make the banner for me and i could do a deal with you.

Hmmm, I'm not sure if I did this correctly. It would have been nice to see what the final image was suppose to look like so I could tweak mine accordingly. Another problem is my inability to follow instructions..I always tend to add/remove steps from the process.  Anyway, I figured some of you might like to know what it looks like (assuming I did it correctly)....so here it is:  I'd like to see how some other turned out.
