I'd just like to say this : Along with fooling us into buying thier OS, which cost a fortune, Microsoft has gone one step further -
- It makes US purchase a high-end PC costing another fortune.
- It GIVES US a high(er)-end PC, which costs more fortune.
So, all set to make the consumers of the world bankrupt, I don't think anyone would like to be bankrupt IN ADVANCE and be the first one to do so, even BEFORE the OS is released as a stable version (Nevertheless, its not stable then anyway)!!

How exciting... a new windows. Soon XP will become the "old" system and out of date. Uuurgh I hate having to upgrade! It better be worth it though. We need lots of smoother slicker faster windows action otherwise they're not getting my buck!

As I have a bandwidth limit of 10gb, I can't afford downloading the 3.5/4gb builds. However they're mailing me the Vista 2 build, which I expect soon. I was a bit dissapointed in the september build as it had performance issues which have been addressed though by now. QUOTE Along with fooling us into buying thier OS, which cost a fortune How come fool? What if a product is made that dramatically increases your productivity etc on a workstation. You haven't even tried it, and it's beta meaning not a single build released is final. Quite some prejudices you hold there for a product line you're using yourself. QUOTE It makes US purchase a high-end PC costing another fortune. Not really. Only perhaps for the premium version for the Aero desktop switching. Also note that Vista will most probably run on apple machines as well, and those sold right now can handle it without a problem. QUOTE So, all set to make the consumers of the world bankrupt, I don't think anyone would like to be bankrupt IN ADVANCE and be the first one to do so, even BEFORE the OS is released as a stable version (Nevertheless, its not stable then anyway)!! What ?

How do you know that it will work on a mac? QUOTE Also note that Vista will most probably run on apple machines as well
ok, so "maybe" it will work? QUOTE and those sold right now can handle it without a problem.
And you've installed Vista on a mac to see that it works, no problem?? How can you say that the current apples can handle Vista when you say that Vista will "most probably run on apple machines as well"... I'm just confused... [N]F

Windows Coa Labels - Now Torn For Your Security!
(12) It's not really NEW news, but I only found out about it today! I found it pretty strange, but

Microsoft Silverlight Technology
A new addition to the Windows Live family (3) Microsoft has released a new development platform (I think it is) called Microsoft SilverLight. It
is supposed to bring rich, interactive, streaming media into a cross-browser, cross-platform
environment. (Personally, I think they are ignoring Opera). The development team is working hard to
get this running on Firefox as well as Internet Explorer. They are adding support for "major,
leading browsers" quickly and efficiently when possible. Macintosh users (for Mac OS X) can also
download this application which is under 2MB in size. You can download SilverLight 1.0 Beta ....
Microsoft Has Basically Declared War On Open Source!
(8) Hey all As a supporter of open source software and a user of Linux, I am angered at Microsuck's
latest actions and lawsuit threats towards Linux Kernel, GUI, OpenOffice.org, and many other open

violates their patents is OLDER or JUST AS OLD as Windows. Also, they're leaving a lot out of
the lawsuits: Linux is based off of UNIX so they would have to then sue the creators and/or users

Gartner: Vista To Be Last Major Windows Release

will be the last big release of Microsoft Corp.'s Windows operating system. The era of
monolithic deployments of software releases is nearing an end, and Microsoft will participate in the
trend toward more flexible updates, Gartner said in a list of forecasts for 2007. Gartner also
expects that the blogging trend will peak in the first half of 2007. Given the average life span of
a blog and the growth rate of blogs, the research firm predicts the peak number of blogger....

Microsoft Music Service?
The scoop. (5) On CnnMoney.com, I read today (June 19) that "sources say" Microsoft is developing a music service
and device to compete with Apple's iPod and iTunes. It will be a pay-per-download service with
an optional "all you can eat" monthly payment. It's supposed to be more user-friendly as far as
finding new artists or having a music community online. I guess that's the big hook, because
obviously it's not going to work with anything but WMP PlaysForSure devices. The sources said
that they already saw a prototype of the device and heard the great things about ....
Adobe Threatening Microsoft
May strike a deal (11) Summary : Microsoft included a "save to PDF" and XMS (their format to 'rival' pdf) feature
in the office 2007 beta, which has been made available to the public for quite some time now. While
adobe does sell their own product to create PDFs (around 240$ I believe), this feature has been
included in Apple software, OpenOffice.org and some others for quite some time. Yet when Microsoft,
their so-called business partner, jumped on the bandwagon Adobe threatened to counter with legal
action. They wanted Microsoft to remove the feature from the retail version and....

a little time to catch up with the present, maybe after vista comes out, this file format would be

Pen Drive Ram On Windows Vista
Features on Windows Vista (13) I recently viewed the homepage of Windows Vista on Microsoft's site. It says that Windows
Vista can use a pen drive (USB 2.0) as additional RAM to speed up the memory. My question
is that we use RAM because the hard disk is SLOW. We do have a swap file, but we don't use it
much because it slows down performance! So, how can it be that the USB Pen drive be as fast as the
RAM? Its max. speed is just 153.3kbps So won't that be slow too? How can that act as additional
RAM? Is Microsoft trying to fool innocent buyers? This is outrageous! -O....
