The Memory Could Not Be Read - while I am surfing the internet, Explore

soleimanian
I am running Windows XP SP2. Sometimes while I am surfing the internet, Explorer will just lock up. When I close Internet Explorer I get an error message as follows:
The instruction at "0x1001a584" referenced memory at "0x1001a584". The memory could not be read.

I found a website that said this is probably a .net issue and removing the .net environment should solve the problem. This solution did not work for me.

Anyone have any solutions?

McAfee HIPS

McAfee HIP (Host Intrusion Prevention) also causes these errors, so if you've got too then that could be your problem.

Sometimes I find free software on the Internet which does something useful for me, and also comes
