No, it's all working fine for me, at the moment. When in doubt whether the server is down, you might want to check out this link: http://www.xisto.com/helpdesk/index.php?cmd=status. It gives you information on the main services (HTTP, MySQL, POP3 etc.). Be noted that all Astahost members are on the gamma server.

As far as I know, all email systems have been working properly. How do you get to your email? By an email client like Thunderbird or Outlook or through webmail? If you access through a email client, sometimes your ISP's DNS isn't resolving correctly or some settings may have been changed. [N]F

Spam Issues...is Astahost Selling Our Addresses?
(10) I have spam in my inbox sent to astahost. @spamgourmet.com. Only astahost got this address, and
it's not likely some chinese spammers guessed it either. Nor do I post it on any posts, nor is
it viewable on my profile here on the site. Was there a user db compromise or is someone selling
email addresses?....
Can't Access Any Site Hosted On The Server
(4) Ever since yesterday, I wasn't able to access my site http://maxotek.net , so I tried
others' sites like http://www.handyphp.com , none of which opened. I've tried PINGing the
sites and have received no response as yet. I've heard that there were some changes to the IP
addresses for the shared IPs. Just a while ago, I heard from a friend of mine that he was able to
access the sites. Another one reported of a Gateway Timeout error. Do I need to make some changes
in the CPanel or will this be solved automatically?....

Server Overloads
(11) Alright, this is becoming a major problem. For the past few days, the Gamma server has been
overloading a lot. The server has reached a load peak of 14.92 thus disabling services like PHP, CGI
and have even shut down MySQL once. This is as big of a problem as XBOX Live having problems from
the past few days. At the time of writing, Gamma's httpd has crashed. Just as a
suggestion, Astahost needs to update the HTTP server software, Apache 1.3.33 is ancient. The latest
stable version is 2.2.6. xboxrulz....
Did My Account Get Hacked Into?
Some suspicious issues!!! (17) Ok first of all I had this issue of my cPanel/FTP password not working:

didn't change any settings of user authentication, etc. So then I reset my password using the
forum thing under "Free Web Hosting". It supposedly "failed", so I didn't use 10 credits. When I

under my public_html folder: /9xYenBai.Com/UploadMusic/Honey.wma So I raised security, went to
that website....
Spam Because Mail In Aplication Formas
(9) Many of us, who wanted to get hosting, wrote in application form their e-mail. Beacause of that
forum is in google, our e-mails are also in google and bots searching for mails to sapm can find
ours mails and send us lots of spam... I startet geting about 20 mails daily and it become annoying.
I want to ask admin or any mod to delete or replace with * my mail, so it may have some effect. (I
was trying to notify admins, but they have full message boxes) this is topic where is my mail:

(5) Apparently when I just checked the server today (because it kept not allowing connections), the

Email Issues - Maildir Invalid
(5) I keep getting these error messages from the astahost mail server CODE Error from server: -ERR
Maildir invalid (no 'cur' directory). Did you change your password? I've checked the
mail folder via ftp and everything seems intact. Havn't changed any passwords, i've tried

Cannot Send Email After Account Upgrade
Outgoing mail broken after upgrade to paid account (3) I just upgraded mistymanor.astahost.com to a paid account. Since the upgrade, outgoing mail is not
working. Specifically, for mistymanor.astahost.com, using mail.mistymanor.astahost.com with
eric@mistymanor.astahost.com as the username, 587 for the port number, and the appropriate password,
sending mail from Apple Mail on OS X 10.4.8 fails. This account worked prior to the changeover.
Incoming mail still works. I have tried using "mistymanor.astahost.com" (dropping the "mail.") as
the mail server. I have tried with/without SSL. I have tried sending the message with Squ....

Multibyte-string Functions
since server shift (1) Hello, I use multibyte functions to split a string by letter and I was wondering if you could turn
them on again, because they were on before the server shift (and they are in PHP by default) and now
I get fatal errors, when trying to use them. In the Phpinfo they don't appear at all.. I've

General Problems With New Account
MySQL problems and quota issues (2) I just got a new account and CPanel reports that I have -380.2 MB of quota space and using 400.2MB.
This disables some of Cpanel's functions. It would have been nice to use the automated Mambo
installer, but no biggy. I uploaded the latest Mambo .tar.gz from my FTP program and unpacked it
via Cpanel's file manager with no problem. When I first logged into the system I created a new
Database for mambo and a new user for that database and linked the two from Cpanel. I logged off to
watch something on TV and came back and that database isn't being reported....

server status page on cPanel (4) I've just gone onto the . Everything was fine until I reached the bottom. It says Disk hda1
(/boot) 93 % and theres a red flashing animated GIF next to it. Is it meant to be like that? All
the others are green. Sorry if this is a bit of a n00b question.....
