Lexmark Printer Questions (Mac And PC)

Hi, just encountered these problems recently myself and want to clear some things up.

1. I had to work on a Lexmark Optra T610 printer today and it wasn't being picked up by the iMacs in the room. Replaced the system board and then had to configure everything. The problem was that only one of the iMacs have the driver installed (strange?). We thought auto detect would pick it up in Chooser (using Mac OS 9.1) but it didn't except for that one. Question is, is this just a coincidence that it has the drivers or was the driver downloaded from the internet at one time?

2. For the Windows side...is there any major difference between the Postscript and PCL drivers (besides the advanced color options)? Just want to know...otherwise I'll just pick either one if they are both ok.

Lexmark printers always have problems like that, I used it a lot, mostly every time it had a probles.And I'm using HP for 1,5 years with no problem.I dont know an exact answer to your problem but sometimes, when some of the files (while setup) were missing, there would be some connectivity problems.Try to uninstall and install it's drivers again.

    Today I opened up the laptop and took out the hard drive. There seems to be something loose in
    there. Could it be the arm that reads the data on the hard drive's platters? I didn't
    shake it, but just turned it over and heard a little moving piece in there. Any hard drive testing

    Hi, I bought this printer off from eBay and the seller said that it works. The original problem I
    had was that it kept jamming halfway through a print job. It said something about a cartridge
    stall. So I opened up the printer and took out the cartridges and re-inserted them back in.
    Presto...no more jamming. Now the problem is that the print job goes through but I see nothing on
    my paper (it's still plain white). I checked the cartridges and they look ok to me. Lexmark
    program said that each of the cartridges has over 50% ink (one has around 70% I think). I t....

    Ugh. Whenever I think about formatting my harddisk, I feel happy. What a clean start! Refreshing,

    Hi, I bought a Dell Axim X30 last week (didn't arrive here yet) and have a couple of questions
    to ask. 1. Can the Pocket PC run any regular Windows programs? I was told that it can't and
