Yeah those error report sending options are pretty annoying. Luckily I don't get them much. Although by saying that I might have just jinxed myself.
I think the main problem is hoe cluttered it gets after so many months of (un)installing, browsing the web and generally using apps on it. I installed
CCleaner recently after finding it on another post and found out I had about 300megs being used by temp files. It may not seem like much but on a laptop, where it's hard to upgrade the HDD, every MB counts. Maybe I'll invest in an external HDD. But anyway that's off topic.
Also msconfig does work for Windows XP, can't remember who said it didn't. If you don't have it then I think it can be found on the Windows CD. Or just google it and you'll get a few links on how to use it and where to download from. Same goes for Windows 2000.
