Not that I am aware of. I think you need a password for all wireless connections, but I know that people have gotten free internet that way so it may be possible. Just a little hint also, hackers are looked down on by most of the internet communities. Now I know noone at this forum will flame you but watch out when looking for hacks. Just a little suggestion, Sparkx
Agreed with sparkx. It's usually not a good thing to ask about hacking with a negative connotation to it. This is one of those either learn on your own (somehow) or learn quietly off of some random tutorial you nick off then net.
For me, I've also gotten free Internet without doing any hacking (though it's useless as well since I don't need it). It just so happens that most people around my neighborhood don't protect their Internet.
For WEP, 64Bit and 128Bit, i've successfully done it with aircrack. I use the cd image from remote-exploit, the so call "Auditor Security Collection" http://remote-exploit.org/backtrack.html
Now they've name it BackTrack, haven't try the new one though. As for WPA, i believe it's possible, but will take more time.
What i did for WEP is just capture enough packet with IV, then run aircrack to crack it. You'll need at least 10000 for 64Bit WEP, and 10 times more for 128Bit WEP. So for WPA, i believe you'll need a lot more than that. On a busy network, you can get 10000 IV packet in around an hour or so. That's consider slow for most hacker (i'm not a hacker). If you have 2 system with wireless LAN, then it's faster, you run airdump on one to capture, and another running aireplay to generate the dummy packet so the AP keep generating IV packet. I've never been able to try that, cause i didn't have 2 notebook at a time.
If you need a more detail tutorial, search for aircrack in google, you'll find a lot
NOTE: DO AT YOUR OWN RISK. I'm not sure what rules are enforce in your country. If you get caught for doing that, i won't be responsible for that. I only do that for sheer fun of it, and also to learn more about how to secure my AP
someone was doing that to me and i got very pissed. hackers like you tend to download warez and lagg the internet like _ _ _ _ i swear they were using my connection as just a server so i screwed them over by hacking them. i was my network admin and they joined my network. say hello to link edited out as your hompage and a nude desktop hackers.
Notice from WeaponX:
Post one more link like that and you WILL be banned.

What's the matter with you? Please, don't assume that all hackers are bad. If you were really hacked, then that means you need to really strengthen your security system as to prevent such thing from happening again. Learning to hack also will help you learn your way to prevent it in the future. Right?

Yeah, that's true. Getting revenge like that doesn't really get you anywhere. Better to learn from your mistakes than try to force the blame on others by hacking them back. I mean, yes, hackers who hurt your connection like that are bad, but doing something like that back to them--now that's just utterly disgusting. Doesn't make you any better than the hackers.
Remember Attack of the show? Well look up the old people that used to be in the show ( I forget their names) they have an online podcast for hackers/gamers/computer geeks. They have a show on how to hack wifi, wireless, even wired internet connections from your computer. Even how to make an extension on your laptop so you can get a connection a mile away from use of stuff found around the house.
I wrote this topic because if i can pick up other networks what the **** am i paying for the internet when i could just use other people's
Because after all if i could connect to some one else's i could use there internet plus i could go on illegal sites lol (JOKE) but you know what im saying.

This sparks my curiosity a lot, though I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. Care to clarify/share some links, please?
As for getting into networks, I'm also a bit interested, not just to edumacaaate, myself, but to know how I can keep my pesky neighbor's kid out of my network. It's got MAC-recognition and WPA2 keys on it, and the logs are often checked.
I can pick up other Network systems on my wireless route...
I was wondering can you hack the WPA Key of because they are all secured
And im wondering if theres anyway to connect to them without using a pass?
If there is please tell me it will be interesting to try it out
Thanks
Also, as I don't think this was pointed out in this topic, in the United States, it is illegal to "hack" a secured wireless network. Let me repeat that: In the United States, it is ILLEGAL to "hack" a secured wireless network. If you're caught and get sued, you deserve it.
Also, no, there is no way to connect to a secure network without the network key. If there was, then it wouldn't be secure. That "password" is really an encryption key. When you tell your computer the encryption key, it can then decode the wireless packets.

Lol, yeah, have to be careful about that. I'm not so sure of the policy on torrents though. It's piracy aswell but not so big.
Man, they have a cool GUI [Graphic User Interface] and tons of monitors with random flashing thing-a-majig.. It looks cool and nicer than staring at thousand of lines of machine codes just to make that piece of IC to work they way you want it to work.
Frankly, sometimes making new stuffs makes me bored and I started to give up on my AI software that eats a lot of disk space before I can make it to play tictactoe.
GNU and open source systems are a good base for those that are new to programming or have no idea what to start with but have a cool acontribution to add to the existing projects.
There is a program out now i think it is called something like WPONetworks im not sure if this helps or not but do not take revenge
hastling your neighbours, stealing there bandwidth, and generally being annoying helps no-one, just exposes you for a script kiddie, perhaps compareing yourself to some hollywood film character ( Zero-cool / that swordfish guy / Matrix neo bloke )

In some cases, a single layer 2 switching device configured improperly can cause serious
connectivity problems, especially on a large network. Problems of this nature behave similar to
Denial of Service (DoS) attacks but are slightly easier to track. Most intranets serve a central
location where other internal networks are connected. Whether it is a remote off-site location or
only accessible by taking an underground railway, it's usually the best place to start
disconnecting backbones to find out which physical subnet is causing the problem. Broadcast storms
are ge....
Usually, to integrate WiFi capabilities into an existing LAN involves interfacing a wireless router
with an existing LAN and configuring it as an access point. If it is meant for free public use, then
it may not be necessary to encrypt the transmission, otherwise it is advisable to encrypt it with at
leas a 64-bit WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) key. Depending on the gain in db of the attached
antenna, the radius of wireless coverage can vary from 250meters to close to 450meters. Now comes
the stage where we need to extend the coverage of the wireless transmission, t....
So my question is this, I have a desktop pc connected to the net through a wired modem. I also have
a free (as in not used) wireless network adapter build in to the desktop pc which I want to share

I have just installed a dual boot setup with Windows XP Professional SP2 and Ubuntu 7.04 on a DELL
Inspiron 1501. While I did the installation no cable was plugged into the NIC. After plugging a
network cable into the NIC I'm having the problem that Ubuntu recognizes and can work with the
NIC without any problems, but in Windows XP I can't get the LAN connection to show up in Network
Connections. So I have therefore narrowed down the problem as not being on the hardware side. I
tried running the Add Hardware wizard with the installation CD inside and instructed ....
So..in the picture below you can see the schematic I made. The internet enters in the first PC thru
the DSL box , and I wanna connect the internet PC with the other PC's with a giga lan speed. For
that I think I will need a second Lan card because the internet PC only has one lan port. Next I use
the Dlink 8 ports Switch. But I don't want the internet go from the internet PC thru the Dlink
and to the other PC's. Because I don't wanna put firewall and stuff on the other PC's.
But maybe with this setup, the internet will just naturally stop at the firs....
i bought one off of eBay for $20 and it kicks ass!!! I just installed the driver and plugged it in

Just built my new computer and holding off on a new wireless PCI adapter for the time being. I have

Do you know a good network simulator? like Cisco Systems Packet Tracert, where you can configure the

Hey, I'm studying for my Network+ cert (and, well, state competition as well) and I really want
to get my Network+ and make it to nationals in competition. The test software that came with the
Exam Cram 2 book is pretty basic, I've taken the "practice" test of 50 questions over and
over... it recycles the same questions and I've lost intrest... when you keep scoring a 80-97%
all the time, it gets pretty boring! Thanks for any help! I really want to pass with flying colors
and make nationals!! F....

When I am on a Unix system or on a Linux system, I use a configuration file named ".netrc", which
stores my most used ftp settings. Is there an equivalent for ftp under Windows XP ? I tried
testing/guessing, I failed, it's not net.rc nor .netrc. It's not horribly necessary, but I
would like to know what replaces .netrc on a Windows machine.....
Hi!!! well, my brother brought to my atention this product: Sonos: http://www.sonos.com/ It
allows to control music in different zone of a home network. But i oposed to it because of it's

Hello, I got an evaluation copy of Windows Server 2003 and I'm already having problems. I'm
just trying to expand my knowledge using my home network. Ok, I have a network domain

This happened to me many times before and i eventually had to call my uncle over to help me fix it
up. Miraculously, it always works everytime he comes. So the last time he came, i watched carefully
and made sure i remembered everything he did. It was not exactly complicated, and he set up the
network manually for each computer. All he did was set up a wireless network using the wizard and
then set up a home or small office network using another wizard. I did it again with my new desktop
but it didn't work. Even though i set permissions for the firewall to allow it a....
Hey, Does anyone know of any "free" network design software? Anything that can aid in mapping out a

I was thinking of changing the long phone line (around 10 m) from the jack to my modem with a router
and then a direct network cable connection to the computer. Do you think I would see any
performance benefits? I don't usually have problems but now and then the line gets full of
static for no apparent reason then clears up. The phoneline actually runs behind my tv and
amplifiers so I'm not sure if there's any interference going on. Had the phone company
check the cables several times and they said nothing is wrong... Also if I put in a wireless
router, is....

I am planning on networking my laptop and my mum's computer via a wireless network. I was gonna
do it over the internet but then thought it would be to slow, so I decided to check and see what you

would be the best way? And roughly how much would it set me back?....
My parents have been persuading me over and over again to do something about our wireless internet
connection. No, its not that the router has any problems connecting the computers to the internet.
My problem is that i want to connect my computers together to enable the sharing of files,

but never with wireless. I've tried the wizards Windows XP provides to create ne....

My roommate and I have been looking for a way to share a network drive. I recently bought a 250GB
SATA HD for my computer because I desparately needed more space. When I go to college in August, my
rommie and I want to share that space. Is there any enclosure that will support a SATA HD and still
allow two computers to access it simultaneously. I know that this doesn't seem like a network
issue but there is the possibility that we would use an Ethernet enclosure and try to attempt some
type of NAS set up. We do not have a router and we really just want an ad hoc....
Hello All, I have what may be a strange question... hopefully the answer/fix isn't as strange.
*grin* I have a home network. Works fine. Main computer hardwired, daugher's computer via
Wireless. They work fine together. I also have been provided a Laptop from work. I'm able to
sucessfully use my network wireless card and gain access to the internet at home. This Laptop from
work... is setup with the Network ID, as a "DOMAIN"... to fully access the "Intranet" at work. As
is normal for home usage... my main computer at home, as well as the daughter....
I just purchased a D-Link wireless router, a DI-524. On my computer i connect through dial up to the
internet. I have been trying to figure out how to share this connection through the router, but i

port. If there is a way to share my connection through this router, please help me with how.....
Our high school just got the new version of Novell ZenWorks, and it has some awesome features.
I'm a computer tech at the school, so I get to use many of these features. I think one of the
more scary features is the remote control. The admin can control any computer on the network. He can
turn them on, log them in, and even lock the local mouse and keyboard. It's really fun to spy
on people in the library and computer labs, and lock people's workstation controls, although I
have had this happen to me. Many people in my school believe that it is an invasion o....
