Personally, I like Google. If I try to search something on other engines , and it doesn't happen to be something real popular, I can never get any good hits. I don't usually use anything but Google. Unfortunatly, my roomate is in love with AOL, and let me tell you, i will never use AOL's search. Most I find are irrelevent, and there really is no where near as many hits as Google. As for Yahoo, I feel the same way for it as I do about AOL. So if I'm looking for something I will just "Google It"

I'm more into google's app platform. Integrating my search history, browser settings storage, email, calendar, documents, jabber server, AND having it run for my own domain's users...THAT's impressive. As for their search engine...it's ok, there really isn't anything better out there though. Especially not when it comes to doing image or newsgroup searching.

Yes I am definately a google user. It has been very easy to use it on Firefox because of the quick search beside the addy bar. I do use it for about anything when I am surfing, or need help finding something. I love how easy it is to use and sometimes I need to swap from searching to needing a quick image of a topic... So I say kudos to google, and to not stop doing it's thing. And as far as apps go, I also use Gmail, but since I have been to so many freemail, Google gets joggled in with my Hotmail and Yahoo accounts... but if I were to combine accounts, I would stick strictly to Gmail.

I prefer to use Google over most Yahoo services, for example Google mail is much better for me than Yahoo, for me Google mail is quite faster, due to it doesn't need to load so much things in webmail I don't need and so on.. but if talking about Google search, for several years now, when the pagerank thing appeared, seems google search doesn't search as it used to search content, it gives results as if it would be very smart and know what I want I mean the site which appears in top doesn't even include all my search strings, sometimes it's good but sometimes it isn't.. I remember I could copy paste some text from a site, like 10 words and do a google search with them I would definitely find it in the top link, but Today whenever I do that, I get some stupid sites in the front because they have more links pointed to them, due to pagerank and it isn't even associated with what I search and doesn't have all the words I made a search for OR I just get that no results were found, even though I know that there is a site with those keywords and it is indexed by google engine.. I don't know if it's better or not, I just am saying the difference.

I think google is the best even though they all give basically the same results i like google because its easy to acess (one of my few home pages) and it doesn't over flow with other stuff on the search page like msn and yahoo do

I like and dislike google at the same time. I do use google services as gmail, picasa (and I used to use calendar, but I don't use anymore since I use my PDA as my main organizer) but I don't use google as my main search engine. I don't like the idea of google being able to link my search results to my name. I'm not saying they do so, but they can if they want to. Neither do I use iGoogle, I'm not interested in a customized start page everytime I open my browser, it's a wast of resources imho and another way of google to link data to my name . I may sound a bit paranoia, but these days you just can't be safe enough on the internet. ps. I use yahoo as my main search engine, it works as good as google, I enter some keywords and I usefull results, that's all I need .

Well back in the day when i first got internet, i think MSN was the thing for me. Mostly because it was the default home page and naturally from there i explored out. I signed up for their Hotmail and it was great, because it was like the only email account i had for some time. But then, one day, i discovered Yahoo and decided to get an email account with them. It was ok, but i was comparing them to Hotmail and some how i still like MSN's services. I think a year or two passed and Google came along and wasn't sure what they were all about so i tried their search engines and it was ok again. So i signed up for a gmail email account and i think i was better than the two i had before, because it offered more space, services and protection from spam or phishing scams. Overall, these three are still ok. But in my opinion, Google is the number one, I agree that their search engines are the best and would recommend any first time computer or internet user to try them out and also their email services. So yes, I like Google!

I use Google all of the time. I may have to use Yahoo if I am not finding what I am looking for, but it is usually an odd request... or just hard to find. I do see a difference between the two now that I have used them both. I am just used to using Google all of these years. I think it is good to have more search engines and image selection.

Google is the best. I have been using google to search for a long time now (since i got internet) and when ever i have wanted to find something, google had always got the best possible match. Other search engines like yahoo, msn are also good but for me when ever i needed something, when i had searched for it on google it had always got me what i was looking for on the first page (mostly on top). So for me good is definitely the best search engine. Everyone i know mainly only use google as well

QUOTE(Soda @ Aug 29 2008, 10:17 AM) It's probably shallow for me to say but I'm stuck to google's interface. I need my stuff to be organized and Google has text color coordination and with Yahoo! search... eh. I could live with it but I personally don't prefer it. I'd use Live search over it any day though. Well, the google interface is quite simple, it loads fast, it works on most of the browsers, it looks quite good.. because it's simple and light, they save lots of bandwidth, if it would be a big page, loading a lot of stuff every time, I think I would stop using it or would choose if available an alternative of google like "old google"
