| | Anyone play freeware games? I do sometimes and maybe no one else does. This might be a stupid topic but I was wondering if anyone knew of some good freeware games. There are alot of horrible free games out there and very few good ones. However, I have found a few good ones. Such as:
Eternal Daughter
Cave Story
Streambolt
Destruction Carnival
etc.
If you want to download these I could find you some download addresses but you could also easily find them at gamehippo.com or by searching for them in a search engine. Maybe I'm the only one in this forum who plays freeware games, maybe not. So maybe I've missed some games, if anyone knows of others please post some. |

Hi.... I like: Battle for Wesnoth FreeCiv Black Shades  Zangband I don't remember any others right now, but they are in many cases better than commercial ones

Free games are mostly web-based and I do agree that America's Army is the best First Person Shooter game available for free probably because it's the only one. I don't really play games now...just Medal of Honor Allied Assault and Halo Trial, both online. I have a copy of Breakthrough but my computer is not up to specs and neither is my internet connection...  And of course, Halo Trial is one game that I would recommend but you'll be bored of it in a matter of weeks, playing the same old map with the same old people.

I also forgot about an old DOS game that was released as freeware a few years ago after they decided it wouldn't sell anymore. "One Must Fall 2097" was shareware at first and now the full version has been released. It's a fighting game like street fighter but with robots, tournaments, and many different upgrades and stats to keep you interested. I have the game on my computer but I don't know the official website where you can download One Must Fall 2097. I'm sure if you search for it you'll find it on a search engine somewhere.

Chicken Invaders  It's not completely free, but what you get when you download it is enough to keep you busy for hours! Very simple, yet again very addicting. If you haven't tried it yet, do so!

Well Of Souls is the best one, I always download it from time to time to play again  Well of Souls is a multi-player Role Playing Game (RPG). It is designed to be extensible through a simple scripting language so that you can compose your own quests and share them with your friends. You can also customize your skin and contribute art and music. Plus, you can create your own guild and host your own server where people can play together. websiteAnd I wouldn't consider Habbo Hotel a game, it's just a chat. Or I'm wrong?

(8) The new game systems are great and all, awsome graphics, smooth gameplay. But how many people here
remember the good old days of the Atari 2600? Ahh, Adventure and Astroids were my favorite games.
I would play them for hours. I recently had a descussion with a friend of mine about the atari
while my kids were around, and they looked at us like we were crazy. We told them, "If it
wasn't for the Atari, you wouldn't have any games like you do now!" It's funny really

(17) Who here loves some of the old skool games? Frogger was awesome... so simply but so addictively
fun... and the old mario's were great. I ABSOLUTELY adored my old sega master system with games

Anyone Miss The Old Super Nintendo And Sega Games
(23) Does anyone miss the old Super Nintendo system and the video games? I sure do miss it. I grew up
playing Nintendo then Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. I think those games were very fun and
entertaining such as Yosies Island, Super Mario, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, NBA Jam, and Zelda.
I miss playing those games. Although Playstation, Gamr Cube, and X Box are better in graphics I
still don't get the fun out of those games as much as I used to on the old systems. The old
gaming systems have this special connection and I had much more fun playing the old games ....

value. It's a remake of a flash game on www.newgrounds.com but the console game has more
levels/stuff to do and is somewhat easier and tons more fun. Its $30....
