There is probably many pieces of free software that have been mentioned in multiple threads in the forum, so it would be a good idea to look around at some old posts to see. All website are built with at least HTML! that is number 1. Number 2 i think what you want is WYSIWYG Editor, this inserts all of the code for you without you typing much, you will presumably use some HTML your self to edit the webpage. My suggestion is Toni Arts, i used one of the first version of this years ago and i still have a copy, it is a very neat and compact program for you.

You really should try and learn HTML and as many web languages as possible, to me it is not really a good idea to let programs do the work for you even though there are programs to do it for you like Dreamweaver and so on. Give it a try you will realise how easy it is

I'm looking for a free software for building my own website in Astahost.Is there any free good and easy to build software for building website without using HTML codes as just like building free website in tripod?

hey, sunny!

i'd strongly reccommend 4 things to try, although not ncessaarilly in this order.

1.) HTML-Kit (www.chami.com)

2.) check out google for some free web builders. keep in mind, however, that many will include ads and whatnot.

3.) try visiting download.com. you may be able to create the site using one of those programs there and then transfer the HTML coding into astahost

4.) learn HTML! you may be suprised at how easy the basics can be.

Hi,

try Netscape Composer! It's still delivered with the Netscape Browser (Netscape Navigator) and it's still very easy to use. Of course, it's not as mighty as Dreamweaver or Frontpage, but it produces a very thin HTML code.

And like the others said, learnig HTML is not too hard and it's fun, you'll see!

I will recommend you a very good HTML editor .
It is NVU ( www.nvu.com).
Originally it was for Linux but now the windows version is also available. It is very easy to use and the html code presented by this is very clean comparing to other editors. If anybody have no money to buy Dreamweaver (which is the best) then NVU is the best option.

You could try Yahoo! SiteBuilder I've used it and the templates are pretty nice. I have'nt uploaded anything so i dont know if it puts ads or something on your page.

I don't use programs like that much, I more like to just type it all in Notepad so I see what I'm doing. If you don't want to type everything in Notepad, I strongly recommend that you download some of the following WYSIWYG editors.

1. A trial version of DreamWeaver, realy the best, but exspensive.
2. Netscape Composer.
3. A lite version of Frontpage.

And you realy should learn HTML, if you are good in it, you can do more with it, then you can ever do with a WYSIWYG editor. Ok, I agree, it takes much time, but the results will be worth it.

A very good html editor is Coffee Cup HTML Editor. you can get e free vesion that puts a small text at the bottom of the page but you can edit it out with editor or something. its not as exctravangant or anything that you could compare it too dreamweaver or the like but its good and free.

A good html editor I think is dreamweaver. It has very good and editable colorcoding and also a very good WYSIWYG editor.
But since you're looking for a free one (I also recommend to learn html [and maybe xhtml]) you can use AriseSoft Winsyntax.

You are stealing software that was developed over a great period of time, not that ther isn't a little code that is free on the internet, but somewhere at sometime someone or a group had to put that software together and it is worth something, if it were worthless then you would never see it to begin with.

Use the trials and if you like it then PAY for it...thousands of manhours were invested in it...what is the point of creating a really great product if you can't pay the bills which include the employees that made the product work in the first place...

You should be ashamed for stealing other peoples time and effort, those that wish to help are on forums like this one that will help you or guide you in the direction to do what you wish...Please don't steal

Basicly what I have is FP which came with the Microsoft programs. Then I have Macromedia MX 2004 (Flash,Dreamwaever,Fireworks). These were free trials that expire in 30 days, but I found a website that has serials codes on it, so it looks like I bought the full version. The problem I had in the past was with the free trials is you can't reinstall them after they expire. I had an issue where my clock on my computer was wrong, so i fixed it. It changed the date the trial expired, so I had a 30 day free trail for 3 days.

In my opinion, templates won't showcase what you're trying to show, which is you and what you like. I would suggest you start out simple with the layout and how many pages. Start small, and go from there...I have a simple tutorial in the website section that might be of help to you.
