Yes its Interesting to work with Flash AS, if your know JAVA Then You feel You are working with a new Version of JAVA, because FLASH AS 's Formats and Syntax are very similar to that of JAVA. Cheers Arunkumar.H.G

How to convert a movieclip text in to a button using action script.

Hi, Can anyone help me to create a button from a movie clip using action script. Actually I have a movie clip which contains a text which fades out on the stage, I want to convert that text into a button which on roll-over moves to its right with a bar which comes from its right as a bg. And which on roll-out should move to its original position both bar and text; It shouldnot disappear but the motion should be seen. Please reply anyone its urjnt... -question by shyju

Actually I'am not much clear what things you wish to archive. But you try this to see if it is work ... Create a new button symbol and add both key frames for roll-over and roll-out. Add a new layer for background , and another layer for your previously create motion text movie. Drag a copy of text movie to roll-over state of motion layer of button symbol, and add a background graphics or images to background layer. Position both elements to a place in which these will appear when roll-over state was active. Repeat the steps above for roll-out state. DONE. I'am still not sure if it what you wish to do. Looping A Flash Animation Certain Times?
also sound syncing. (0) Ok, I am creating a short flash movie and I need some help. My first two frames is my loader, a
basic, "IfFrameLoaded; Goto" type function. The next 9 frames is a small animation that I want to
loop for exactly 20.02 seconds, and then I want to move from that animation and background music,
into another animation and background sound. I'm sort of at a loss as to how to do this. Is
there some way I can count the amount of time that a flash file has been loaded, and then have it
switch to another layer with the other animation and sound on it? A "Goto; Layer 2, Frame ....

Loading Flash Content + Sound
(9) I'm having some trouble loading flash content and sound together. I would like for the content
of the flash movie to load up exactly when the sound does, but usually the sound loads a little
faster than the flash and the content is a little lagged/slow playing before it kicks in and
sync's up. Could anyone provide some insight as to how I would load the content and sound
together, so that it does not lag? P.S. I've already tried putting the sound in the first frame

Importing Wmv Into Flash 5
(3) I need to import a WMV into flash 5, but I'm having a very hard time doing so. Obviously, I
cannot import it directly. I have tried using DivX Doctor to change the WMV into an MPG (which
works) and then importing the MPG into Ulead Gif Animator, so that I could save the MPG as a gif,
and import it into flash. However, whenever I attempt to import WMV that I've converted into
MPGs into Ulead, I always get an error and Ulead shuts itself down. This ONLY happens with MPGs that
were once WMVs. Does anyone know how I can fix this, or know of a better way to convert a....

manual into an electronic format for ease of transport. I had previously done this project using a

Flash Displaying Pictures
Low-rez pic display (0) Can anyone help me with this problem I seem to be having with flash?? I know this is probably some
stupid little setting somewhere I have to tweak but I can't find it. I'm trying to put a
picture into flash on the canvas. I have a seperate layer for it. Nothing else is on the layer.
Properties for the picture is set at 100 % quality. My publish settings are set at 100% quality for
Jpegs and I've tried every setting I can find but the picture keeps displaying at a low
resolution when I preview my movie. It displays fine on the design screen when I test ....
