| | Firefox has so many extensions and is so much easier to use, i dont think IE will ever catch up and after all the security holes IE6 had, im sure the new IE will fix all of those and create twice as much new security holes |

I test IE7 and think that it is great .
But Firefox wont load half the sites I like Now Microsoft has launced their IE7 browser. Now with all the same features as Firefox. But will it ever be the same as Firefox?? Firefox has a huge fan base, thousands apon thousands of extensions and a great track record. What does Microsoft have? Thousands apon thousands of Security leaks and flaws plus more. But you here me say, Firefox does have its problems. Not all sites are compatable with Firefox and not everyone wants to use it after using IE for so long! It is only going to be a matter of time before Firefox becomes a more popular browser (if it isn't already) and not long before web designers make all their websites "Firefox Ready". Myself, i have tried the new IE7 and have to say, its getting better. But since changing to Firefox, i dont think I will be changing back!
If you are one of the people that have 256 RAM, you would probably choose IE (like me So my list goes 1. Internet Explorer 2. Opera 3. FireFox i differe from that since i am a 256mb memry user and with 64mb shared to video leaving me less than 200MB memory. i can load 30+ tabs in my firefox if no run time java applet, flash or shockwave is present in the tab pages. plus i am using 7 plugins and 10 extensions to my browser.. -- the new IE beta 7 just crashed on 11 tab panes.. IE 6 with the patch and plugin that gives it with tab panes wont render some pages and keep on going to msn search.. you have encountered having a webpage at your localhost served at 127.0.0.0 ended up being search in msn.. in firefox, those never happen.. no matter how clogged up the memory is due to leaky and buggy plugins/extensions, firefox is still intellegent enough not to search you localhost pages in google. I test IE7 and think that it is great . But Firefox wont load half the sites I like sure it will.. with IE tabs it can load all websites.. --- if stuffs wont work on firefox, most of the time it wont load in netscape and opera also.. -- IE have this great problem of running flawed scripts and having a "personalized" interpration of CSS and scripts.. making it a hellish for web programmers to use new technology from the net standard into IE.. NOTE: i hope this will snap into my previous post.. when i replied with less than 3 mins after posting an entry.. things snap back in.. cant check this tough since i am signing off now.. cheers.. i will edit this later if this turn into a double post..
IMO Firefox is better.
I was a huge IE fan boy until I decided to turn to the darkside. I luv the tabs & and extentions/plugins. I'm use to using FF now and probably won't change back to IE no matter what fancy bells ands whistles they add. I hated when I set google as my homepage it would change it back to MSN without any notice. And I've found that I've had so many less attacks from trojans and other types of threats and viruses.
I have been using Opera only now for awhile. It is a great browser. If Opera wasn't around though i would pick IE because it has the tabs just like firefox, and doesn't take anytime at all to startup. I have never been a fan of firefox. It is really over rated. Don't get me wrong it is a great browser, but not THAT good. IE however has some issues that hopefully will get worked out. It has lots of little problems such as when your in google and press back in the image section it goes all the way back to google.com. It makes me very frustrated. Even with that i would always use IE because it is quick to load and is very simple and doesn't have a bunch of stuff i will never use.
Okay I have used the beta of both FireFox and IE, and I have got to say I am very disappointed with IE they have totally murdered the look of it and it looks so ugly I cannot even stand to use it, Firefox on the otherhand looks great by default and if you dont like it you can skin it, on top of that all those juicy plugins, I have no idea what I would do without my gmail notifier built into firefox or fasterfox and the ftp plugin is damn good for being free
I support Firefox! Reasons??? There are so many...neither me nor you can count them and surely...most FireFozx fans will agree.
FF is Open source ( do whatever you like to with its code) FF is lighter on memory ( remember FF is completely independent program) FF still protects you from ActiveX by giving out warnings FF can be made to do what you like by using extension FF can change its looks by themees FF loads faster than IE. FF can open 20 Tabs in one window and still work faster compared to the [kernel integrated IE] FF has got goole's support and IE has got MS's which one is bigger company??? FF is more secure as it is not integrated into kernel. FF is cross platform including linux and BSD...IE aint ( except MAC) FF has a lot other usefult functions such as finding a particulr part of code from a part of webpage (just selct the text /part of webpage, right click and click on view selection source. FF in better coz you can add your own site'sd search engine in its place ... and easiler than IE. FF is just 5 MB and IE is 12.8 MB even though most of IE's functionality is integrated into windows hack some files in FF's profile folder and you can change the functionality...can you do the same with IE? FF has better RSS feed integration. Anyone needs more support and reasons for FF?? I ask twice.
if there was no firefox, i will end up using Opera..
I am a fan of tabs and before it have appeared, i use opera.. time before.. opera is a paid service and i hate the ads that i got stuck with IE.. Hi: Another reason to choose Firefox is that IE works with Windows XP or superior OS, if you still use -as myself- for example Windows 2000 you cant install it. regards, Similarly, Firefox works on Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris, etc. MS has not updated their Mac version of IE in a very long time and never more than toyed with IE for UNIX. Aside from the fact that I own a Mac, I sometimes have to use Linux or Windows; it is much nicer to have a browser that works the same on all three platforms, including my settings. Firefox, in its micro version, will even run off of a thumb drive so you can have your browser and settings wherever you go. The only real downside is that Firefix won't let me store my encrypted passwords on a thumbdrive (that I know of) without having all of your settings there. I would like to sync my passwords with the Linux box but still have some different settings if I want to. Oh well, IE does not let you do any of it.
