Here are the extensions I use: - Adblock Filters ads from webpages - DownThemAll Mass downloader for firefox using the firefox download manager - GMail Notifier As it says ... notifies of new mails in GMail - Smoothwheel Smoothens the scrolling on webpages ... very configurable and nice - Web Developer Lots of nifty tools for use during web design and development. Syntax checking, deleting domain cookies and much much more - Colorful Tabs Gives a different color to each new tab you open - Del.icio.us A plugin for del.icio.us ... to tag your favorite websites.

I had more Firefox favorites before the last Firefox upgrade but here are my current favorites that I've not seen already mentioned in this thread: DOM Inspector View Formatted Source Blog This Image Zoom Google Toolbar I am really hoping that they come up with an upgrade for my Roboform toolbar soon. I really miss it. I also really liked the Edit CSS extension as it is a great help when you are just learning CSS. You could edit your CSS file for the page and watch it change right before your eyes. Anxiously awaiting an update for this handy extension.

Currently I mostly just use Forecast Fox, gmail notifier, bugmenot, tab clicking options (lets you choose different tab options based on actions), and I have a couple at home for making better formatting for html source/css viewing but I forget their names... I used to use tonnes of extensions but I've toned it down alot since then... I always just ended up getting pissed every time they update FF and my extensions broke for awhile Edit - I forgot, here I use "Beer o'clock" as well haha. Just a fun little extension that, as you get closer to beer oclock (the end of the day on friday usually) it pops up funny little messages like "5 errors to find until beer oclock!". Its pointless but fun hehe

I am not a frequent Firefox user, because I prefer Opera, but I like Firefox for some Extensions it offer and also use it to test my pages and etc. So here is what Extensions I m using. HTML Validator - To validate my html files fast and easy Web Developer - The best thing, I use it a lot Edit CSS - I like to see in real time my pages when I edit css Show IP GMail Manager ColorZilla IE View - Useful, when I want to look how the site look in IE Session Saver - Very needed for me, I usually have lots of tabs opened Tabbrowser Preferences gTranslate Faster Fox User Agent Switcher - Need it sometimes Customize Google - Cool thing, I use Google a lot Disable Targets for Downloads - I hate to close those blank tabs/windows DOM Inspector Tab X - Comfortable to close a tab Forecast Fox - Cool Image Zoom - Cool PDF Download - I usually want to have the PDFs in my HDD Adblock - No comment But when Firefox was my primary browser, I used some more. I remember an Extension, which used to get back to the Tab I was before after closing some, but so much various extensions are available, I did not find it, but I didn't really search as mad.

Ah yes, Firefox extensions — the one thing that puts Firefox above all other browsers. I've got a lot of them installed, so I'll just list them down. I'm wondering if the guys who developed Remove It Permanently (RIP) will come out with an updated version for the new FireFox release. I really miss being able to cut out (permanently) elements that I don't ever want to see on Web sites. AdBlock's a good extension too, but it doesn't let me kill nearly as much as RIP did.

i have: adblock - obviously linkification - converts typed links into clickable ones foxytunes - controls music players from the bottom of the window scrapbook - this is really cool. captures with all styles includes areas from websites and collects them chatzilla - for irc colorzilla - gives you a dropper tool to find out colours from the net googlebar web developer - invaluable download manager tweek - downloads go in a seperate tab disable targets for downloads ie tab - only just got this one but its definatly gonna be useful for testing pages

My list of extensions: - IE Tab: Great for viewing those IE-centric pages. I must state that since I've installed the IE7 beta, one of the three sites I used IE Tab for displays in IE just like in Fx.
 - Adblock: What else can I say?
- Adblock Filterset.G Updated: This extensions is supposed to be updating my Adblock lists or something, but I forgot about it...
- Mouse Gestures: It was nice for a while but I think I'll uninstall it or something. Not really useful...
- Fission: This is a cool extension! It makes your address bar act as a progress bar for page loading. Quite nice, if not that useful.
- Greasemonkey: Woohoo! Really great extension! Only I don't have any scripts loaded... but whatever. It's still darn cool.
- Web Developer: For those times when I think of myself as such.
- Live HTTP Headers: I use this from time to time for some website reverse-engineering.

Firefox Problems..

Spell check all text fields. (0) Firefox 2.0+, by default, spell checks only multi-line text areas. To spell check single line text
fields such as search boxes you typically have to right click and click "spell check this field" in
the context menu. The following tweak will make it so that spell check is always on by default for
ALL text fields. 1. Open a new tab and type about:config in the address bar and press Enter.
2. In the filter field type layout.spellcheckDefault 3. Double click on that entry and enter

Firefox 2 Problem: Save Link
firefox 1.5 would save link on alt + click. Feature removed? (9) In previous versions of Firefox there was a feature that I used very often. When a link was clicked
while holding the alt key, it would automatically download the linked file to my hard disk. It
seems that this hasn't worked since installing the the newest release. Is this feature still
available, maybe with a different key command? Maybe one of my extensions is causing a bug. Does it

Temporary "disabling" Firefox
Make it un-usable. (14) I need help on how to literally disconnect Firefox from the Internet. I know I can use Shaw Secure
(firewall) to block it but if I do this, all user profiles will have Firefox blocked from the
Internet. I need to block Firefox from the internet in only 1 user account. Therefore I must change
something in the Documents and Settings folder for Firefox. Is there something in user.js file
that I need to alter? Is it available through about:config? The "network.http..." settings
didn't work properly when I set all of them to 0 max connections and disabled keep-alive. ....

My fonts are all screwed up!!! (5) Whenever my Firefox 2 Beta 1 updated to Beta 2, my fonts got all screwed up. I've tried
everything from removing firefox completely from my computer and re-installing but it must keep
finding some hidden settings somewhere. Anything that was verdana 10pt is now verdana 8 or smaller.

What's Wrong With Firefox?
(5) I know I've been asking a lot of questions lately but that is because I've just reformatted
my computer and everything just seems to be going all wrong. This time, its because FireFox
won't load any of my pages correctly. Everytime i try to load a page that becomes a little too
image heavy, Firefox will stop loading the images completely. I've tried right-click view image
and i see it there so that means it isn't the webpage's server problem. This also happens

A hidden something (15) Go to firefox and type "http://http" (Without Quotes) You will be automatically taken to the
Microsoft website. This left me a bit confused at best. I soon figured the reason. Apparently
Firefox uses Google's "I'm feeling Lucky" option for a word after "http://" Now the first
result is Microsoft's website. Now google for some reason feels that "http" has got something to
do with microsoft. How's that??....
