Use the poll at top to decided which one is best.
Oh and in my opinion... . GO FIREFOX!!! |

Firefox, all three. Also: 1. Microsoft made me download something to verify my copy of windows before I could download Internet Explorer, Firefox just lets you hit "Download" and you get it. 2. Firefox is more customizable, since it has themes and addons and so on. 3. Firefox is standards-compliant, IE is not and it's incredible annoying. 4. There are a bunch of things I didn't think of or didn't say.

I agree. And about Microsoft and verifying the copy of Windows, they have that for all of their download products, and that is really, Really, REALLLYY annoying.

QUOTE(Chesso @ Jun 1 2007, 10:36 AM) I'm going with firefox.
Though I am dissapointed with it's memory consumption and load times. Problem with this is that Iexplorer is kind of preloaded in the memory whereas Firefox needs to be loaded from scratch, though OS like xp should eventually "learn" to prioritize. Or so I was told. I agree that firing up firefox might take a bit, but after that, nothing to complain about. I usually take newgrounds.com as an example to people to show the potential of firefox over Iexplorer. I usually first install the adblock plus extension along with the filterset. Throw in fasterfox and you got yourself a turbo'd up browser. When you load up newgrounds in iexplorer 6 or 7, it'll be slow and when it's finally loaded, it's littered with ads. As opposed to Firefox, which loads a lot faster and when it's done loading, it's free of annoyances. It'll take a lot for me to convert to another browser. Simply because I support firefox for breaking through the boundaries here.

Pretty much the only reason is that the pages load faster. My old 366mhz ibook can load faster pages on firefox than my 800 mhz desktop computer using IE. I don't care about how it looks, but if you really wanted to make it look nice, you could just get skins for firefox. I have IE 7 on my other laptop, but I can't install it on my desktop computer because it says that windows is not genuine. It's dumb because it came preinstalled with my computer.. With firefox it takes me less than 2 minutes to install, and it's straight forward. I love the simplicity of firefox too.

IE 7 is a big improvement as compared to IE 6 and back. However, I've switched to Firefox quite a while ago so I don't plan on switching back anytime soon. Sometimes I use IE7 to browse some IE only pages though (eg Nexon.net)

I actually use both... however, I prefer the clean and less "bulky" look of IE7 as Firefox has retained the classic Windows application look. IE7 also loads quicker on my other laptop as it is part of Windows. However, nothing beats Firefox's recovery. It's horrible when Windows crashes, Firefox crashes, or the power goes out and you were looking at some good sites and not being able to quickly open them back up or having to search your history for the exact page you were on. I really LOVE that feature!! The nice thing too, is that Firefox has amazing plugins while IE doesn't. [N]F

Firefox is more secure, more customizable and more standards compliant. Customization is what really attracts me to Firefox the most. With the right plug-ins one can turn this ordinary browser into a powerful web developing and social networking tool. IE is just another browser to me and a somewhat dangerous one at that. I really wasn't impressed with the release of IE 7 despite the added security features and tabbed browsing. I also hate active x and think that support for it shouldn't be on any browser.

I have already made my focal reply on here... now I want to mess things up... I have already been a faithful Firefox follower, and I still do use IE... but I have heard other browsers in use... I am planning on playing around with Opera maybe, and I have heard of yet another... Maxthon. Does anyone out there play with that one any!!?? Anyways, Firefox is a great competitor to IE and usually you can get a lot of good services from each when they try and out do each other. I just wonder what each one will come up with next... Until then...

For years, Microsoft Internet Explorer has enjoyed near dominance of the Web browser space--but not any more. Since the release last year of Mozilla Firefox 1.5, Firefox has been steadily eroding Internet Explorer's claim of superiority. According to information from NetApplications.com, in October 2004 Internet Explorer had 92 percent of the market; in September 2005 that dropped to 86 percent; and as of September 2006 Internet Explorer's market share dropped to 82 percent, with Firefox's rising to 12.5 percent. In two years Microsoft ceded 10 percent of its audience to its compet Firefox is the best

I have been using Firefox as my default for a few years now. I STILL use IE7 here and there... I let it default everything because my wife doesn't use Firefox... She isn't as into the PC as I am... and she is just used to using IE. So I just do what I need to do and she does, also. I also like that if anything should happen while using Firefox, you can restore your window. VERY SMART THINKING!! I used to be on IE and I would install and do something else multitasking all of the time and then the Blue Screen of Death appeared, and there went my patience. With the sessions restored (And of course the elimination of the BSD) it has made my life much easier! So I will continue to use both, but I still enjoy Firefox better... at first, I wasn't that excited about the folder addition to the address bars, but now that I put my favorites on it, I can't see not having it. I like that IE does however try to limit space... it just needs to go back to being user friendly again. IE goes through too many service packs, and security issues, and Firefox will always try to keep things updated and brings up options before launching the site... if you do not want to update right now... skip it. I like the skip not cancel out approach! If there would be another browser to try, I will, and I will continue to shop around, also. Until then, Mozilla keep up the good work making Microsoft sweat it out... - skedad -

Firefox Performance Stats

point where Firefox starts to degrade. Cheers, Hoopa....
