Astahost is good but i don't like the "credit" system at much. It takes a time to take a feeling about it.
But anyway, this is the best webhost for ever!  |

Astrahost is the best OUT OF THESE. I really like XetaSpace better, but it doesn't give me MYSQL, so for my MYSQL hosting needs i will use Astra. All the other ones in the poll are no contest. Most of them are nooby, and Geocities is the most annoying, crippled piece of -- uh -- garbage i have ever seen!! I am always surprised that people use these when they can get a perfectly good ad free host somewhere else. I am also surprised these sites make any money from their ads because their members content often sucks! EDIT I also don't like the way Astra takes out credits every day. It makes sense from a business perspective, but i think it is kind of wrong to try to make too much money from a free host. I wonder how much AstraSpace has?

The credit system is in place to keep people active at the forums. Without it, the community would slow and no one would really use it. Astahost uses this system so that ads do not have to be placed on member sites. [N]F

ok, im not saying astahost is bad, i only signed up today and this is the 1st time i have ever used it, so my choice isnt going to be out of all the free hosts out there, its going to be out of all the one's i have tried ill list them top being No.1 bottom being... Crap
100webspace-Havnt had a fault with it yet, the only thing is its a bit on the slow side
Bravehost-only because of its services, not really its hosting
50megs-not to bad, some times doesnt work
geocities-tried them one's, never again
freewebs-dont even go there
piczo-dont! make! me! laugh!
matmice-yea... when i was 5
i have tried alot, lot, lot more but out of all the one's i really got into and "review" it would be them. im hoping that Astahost is going to be at the very top of that list, so far i would put it under bravehost BUT i havnt even got hosting yet.

Here's another anonymous vote for Astahost... I have tried many other so-called free hosts in the past and none of them were really good. They either had annoying banner ads or very limited bandwidth usage. Astahost all the way...

Hahaha it's pretty funny that some people chose Geocities as their favorite web host. It's just plain hilarious!! Geocities? Bah humbug. Anyway, I'm wondering what Atspace is  But still... Astahost is one of the best "must-post-for-hosting" hosting services. Good bandwidth, good storage space, good uptime, good services. Thanks to ya'll

Don't like the others at all. Ads or not the services I need (FTP/PHP/MySQL). However I don't use astahost for storage though, although I could. Orbitfiles.com for various large files, and the ftp from my internet provider for images and smaller stuff. I find the latter 2 more reliable because of the forced posting policy of astahost.

Ahh yep would have to agree on that one. I have used Freewebs, Geocities, Gatorhost (If I remember correctly) and 50webs out of that list and I wouldn't even bother trying to compare them to asta-host because they are not even close. Perhaps they have their purpose, not most certainly not for me.

Computing Host
Astahost is great but.... (12) Well astahost has been great, so I decided that I would move on to computing host. Well, after going
through, having the payment come through paypal....my account doesn't exist on computinghosts
site...so now I paid for hosting but haven't gotten any.... I am somewhat dissappointed by
this, seeing how astahost provides such great service for free, and yet I pay for computing host
only to get changed for it and get nothing. I'll see, maybe it just takes them some time for
their system to process the accounts. But it would be nice if they said something like ....

Freecoolsite.com - Really Good Host, but ...
Really good host...but... (6) Hello everyone i just came from MANY hosting sites, and a decent one I found was freecoolsite.com.
It has very nice easy to use interface with the features of PHP and mySQL, and even phpMyAdmin to
manage the mysql database. But I found it has its bad points: 1) Has ADS
2) My rollover buttons doesnt function when it functions at 5 other host sites
3) When you are using "iframe" the frame used has a ad inside and messes up
ur html webpage design, cause the frame is messed up... ....
