I used to use Winamp, it was so user-friendly and easy to use. Very easy to add tracks and create playlists. Now I use Windows Media Player. It's not as user-friendly, but I like its slick interface.

I have used RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, Winamp, Jet Audio. Amongh these winamp is better. But the best is Quinessential Player whihc I have found just some months back. It is amazing media player. I can't think of a player other than it whose interface is easier than it. The sound quality is also very good and it is also takes very less RAM.
Although it is not very famous but give a try to it and you will love it.

Media players aren't something I look into that much. As long as it plays music I am happy. Windows Media Player came preinstalled so I just sort of left it at that. I also have RealPlayer as it was needed to listen to certain radio stations. I'll probably look into it sometime and try out new ones but right now I am just sticking music on my MP3 Player and listening to them off the Hi-Fi.

My favourite media players.

well i use a few. i use itunes for windows, windows media player and real player. i use itunes for my music and i use windows media player and real player for my videos. it depends what the website offers. like i watch a few different things and sometimes i watch live cam, live cam will use media player where as most downloaded movies and videos will use my Real Player.

I like to listen to music alot so itunes is probably my favourite, then tagging along in second is media player followed by real player.

I use winamp, it's, as said before, very user friendly and it has a lot of functions. Not the professional functions, but you can search your song very easy and quickly. You can make playlist and add whole maps. You can also shuffle and repeat and change the EQ. For videos i mostly use windows media player 10.

Frankly, other then for MP3 music I just use whatever windows defaults too usually (unless a problem arises). As far as media playback is concerned, it isn't important enough for me to rank it "actually put effort into it" worthy haha

Hmm thats a good question. Well i have all my music on a mac mini so i use iTunes for that i love the compatability with burning cds in all sorts of formats and all that. The only bad thing about that is the hard disk size in the mini its going to run out soon i think. Then for movies i use quicktime or windows media player.

I use iTunes. I love how everything is very organized and you have the options of arranging things how you want them (artist, song title, bitrate, etc.)
I only use Windows Media Player for movies, unless its a Real file, or a Quicktime file, I kinda let the computer handle that and open it where it wants to

Winamp for the music and most movie-files, mediaplayer classic for realmedia stuff and finally BS-player for the more advanced movies (subtitles and multiple audiostreams etc.)

I simply love Winamp. Loads of plug-ins, loads of skins, loads of users, secure, loads of file support (DRM!).

  4. Linux Media Players With Good Media Libraries
    (3)
I recently changed my primary computer's OS from Win2k to Ubuntu Linux. I'm a big music fan
and I do all my music and video (including DVDs) playing with my computer. So in a way my computer
acts also as a "media centre". I have a lot of music in digital format and lot of CDs. For CD
playing Rhythmbox is just fine but for mp3s and such I've yet to find my favourite. By the way
on the Windows side I used Winamp5, which GUI and media library were just awesome. Good media
library is a must for me. For video I think I'm going to stick with Mplayer. So far I....

I have a problem with my windows media player. It plays all videos in full screen mode. The media
player does not show any menu bars etc when it starts playing video. hence I cannot reduce the size.
I have tried pressing Alt + enter looking through options like video size, zoom etc, but to no luck.
Even try uninstalling and reloading different version but in all case the problem persists. I have

  6. The Best Media Player?
    (20)
m trying to find a better media player than WMP, mainly for audio/music. Im trying to find one that
plays mp3's and mp4's, and if possible ogg and flac, but its not nessessary. ive tried VLC,
but it kept freezing on me everytime i made a playlist, possibly because i have too many
songs(1400+). winamp and itunes seem to be too bloated IMO, and WMP itself just lacks in playable
formats/features. Any recommendations? thanks in advance. My os is WIN XP =)....

Is anybody else having a problem with Macromedia's Flash Player not being recognized by

latest Flash Player in order to view their "whatever" (YouTube.Com is one of these sites) yet when I
go to Macromedia (Adobe) they say "Congrats, you have the latest player" and their little animated
graphic plays just fine. I've even removed the Flash Player and the Plug-In from my system, and
re-installed, with the same end results... Does anyone have any clues as to wh....

Has anyone here tried Windows Media Player 11 Beta? It sounds quite good and i'm in the process

Anyone got any feedback on it? Is it good? Better than the previous versions? I've been using

  11. DivX
Very good movie player, maybe best (9)
Divx player plays almost all types of movie files including .avi. It plays them much better than a
normal player like winamp, or windows media player. The sound is also significantly better. You can
burn DVDs and I think you can use it to make DVDs with "code" but I don't use that part so
I'm not sure. In my opinion it's the best vidio player out there right now. Here is where
    it's at. http://www.divx.com/divx/ ....
  12. Review: Amarok
The best Linux mp3 player available (1)
About: For the uninitiated, Amarok is an mp3 player for Linux which uses the KDE libraries. IMO,
Amarok is the best player for Linux, and now with the new release (1.3.6) they've added even
more features. Features: Amarok has got more features than any player I know of (Winamp
included). The best feature (IMO) is downloading the lyrics of the song that is currently playing
(using the artist and album name) from lyrc.com.ar . In addition to that, it also downloads a
thumbnail of the album cover of the song currently playing from Amazon.com and it gets sto....
