One site that I particularly like is one of my dad's old site, www.ugomoi.com. This is a few years old, but it's way ahead of it's time. The site details my dad's art, his biography, etc. He even has a beginning flash page, where he managed to get his paintings in formed as if they were in a hall. You should really see for yourself, as it's a very cool site.

I like the intro to http://www.ugomoi.com/ , but frankly the color scheme inside is not that appealing. and information seems cluttered. sickgrrl723: As for my list , i think content tops its all and presentation ie readibility , ease of use etc come second. But come to think of it..ease of use is also very subjective term. I have been using CNN.com for almost 10 years now (for reading news..i know it may not be the best out there ..but its good in some matters) and now i am used to it. I think its easy to use.

Hehe; don't worry Hatim, I don't mind. Like I said, this is my dad's old site and while the colors could be better, I still appreciate the site. However, thanks for the input - and don't worry, I'm not gonna knock skulls with you because you think the color scheme is bad... especially considering the fact that, as I said, they aren't the best  .

I gotta go with www.goodtutorials.com I started to learn website design about two months ago and this website helped me a lot. Most news sites as well as some message boards that I won't mention helped me in some way.

i am inspired by the design of Macromedia website. i like the gradient in the background and the overall high tech silver finish look of the page. the content is also precise and neatly organised into tables. most importantly, the page is very fast-loading since there are few graphics on the index page. anyone knows where to get a template that looks similar to this?

Download Sites?
(2) Does anyone know of any good "download" sites, like Download.com or Tucows that allow software
submissions? I have found a few smaller ones, and some decent looking ones like TopShareWare and
BrotherSoft, but most of them (including Download.com and Tucows) are very, well..... bloated to

Trouble With Opera Website Or Me?
(7) This just started occuring when I downloaded the new version of Opera. I think there must be setting
for this but I cant find it. Anyway whenever I go to a web page Opera loads it from memory (not the
internet). Now this speeds up your computer (or it should) but does not provide up-to-date
information. The only way I could find to get around this is to press the refresh button but when
you are using forums like I do pressing the refresh button on every page just to get it updated
takes a lot of time (not to mention it is anoying). Does anyone know how to solve this prob....

is difficult, it is badly organized, it may take you 20-50 clicks to find one specific page. At

redirected from one page to another using The HTML/XHTML code that is used is invalid. Maybe

religious message, the background is so busy, it hurts... literally, my eyes are on fire. There are

and successfully made money from it? I have always wanted a way to make some money in my off time
without getting a second job. I've also heard of websites that post jobs for graphic/web

(11) There are many different domain services, that supply domains for free. Dot tk for example give you
a .tk web domain for free. Though there is lots of advertisments on it. An even better domain for
free site is .de.vu This is a german site, though if you understand a little bit of german, you can
get yourself through to getting a free .de.vu domain with no advertisment at alll?!!! Oh yea this is
good. remember you need to become member and give them your email etc. So in the end a real .com
domain for 50 cent or even less is really cheap and more efective. So I hope you ....
