| | Hey everyone, I came back for a while because I thought of you all when I had a PC issue (told you I'd have some questions eventually)
Well anyways, I recently 'updated' if you want to call it that my Ati Mobility Radeon 9700 driver that Dell provides with the third result here. But now when I try to run some programs I get a Graphics card is not compatible error, I'd like to know if anybody can instruct me on how to downgrade, Dell's support is crappy.
OK, I put in my original driver disk and am installing now, I hope this works... Otherswise I'm going to need to re-install windows again. (just did a few days ago...)
Ok, it ran an error...  Any help? |

What was the original driver for this machine? Do you have the driver CD ready? If not, get the download online at the Dell website. See if you can uninstall the update. Check the Add/Remove panel to see if it's listed there. If not, right click on My Computer->Properties->Hardware->Device Manager and look for the video card there. Once found, double click on it to go into the Properties. Click on the Rollback Drivers to see if it will remove it and restore your old driver back. If not, then click on the Uninstall Driver button. That should remove it. Now go install the old driver back.

Sound Card Driver

I installed windows xp professional to a IBM PC and now the audio doesn't work it doesn't
detect my speakers and i could use the net to update the drivers but that is the problem the modem
driver is uninstalled, i tried to update the drivers form my PC but it says it needs internet access
to update and the computer Brand is IBM, model is S9U, the modem model is RD01-D270, i searched in
the net but don't seem to find the driver to burn into a CD.....
Dell Computer "shuts Down" When Opening Email
(31) I have a Dell Optiplex GX 270 computer here and the problem is that it shuts down randomly when
viewing email in Outlook. It doesn't seem to do this when doing anything else online. Could a
network cause issue this kind of problem? I'm going to see if the other machines are doing this
as well. The funny thing is that the machine itself still seems to be running. The light on the
monitor is orange, but the computer's light is green and the fan is still spinning in the back.

Laptop Overheating
Problem with Dell 600m (20) One of my friends has a Dell 600m which he bought around the same time as me. We pretty much have
the exact same specs, but my processor and video memory is a little better. He has been having
problems since the time he got the laptop with it overheating to the point of it locking down.
I'll agree that the Dell 600m's from the Summer of 2003 will get way too hot for normal
laptop use. My laptop has only locked up once or twice for me because of it overheating, but his

ATI Radeon 9250 Issues
I've been working on it for weeks now... (8) I recently bought an ATI Radeon 9250 256mb, my computer comes with an nVIDA nforce chipset (Driver:
nVIDA Geforce 2 Integrated GPU, VGA compatible). It worked great at first but later i started having
problems. Logan (Deathbringer) helped me get it working again...sortof. What he told me to do was to
uninstall the previous nVIDA drivers and use a driver cleaner to erase everything the uninstaller
did not. It made sense, then i was to put the Radeon card in, start in safe mode and uninstall the
Radeon drivers and clean off all the ATI drivers using the DC again. I restart....
Dell And Alienware Merge
When is a good time to buy a Alienware product? (3) Hello everyone, I had an earlier post that talked about the Alienware computer that I was going to
get. But, since then Dell and Alienware merged. Which I believe might lower the prices of
Alienware products eventually. So does anyone know if I should wait to see if Alienware lowers
their prices for computers, if so how long would you suggest I wait before making a purchase from
them? Or should I just go ahead and buy a product from them, assuming the fact that their prices

Video Driver Error?
Please help! (2) Recently, I've been encountering several problems with my computer. One of those is that when i
play a game, say MapleStory that uses up the whole screen, sometimes it would just hang for a second
or 2 and restart the computer. Each time this happens, i send the error report and (surprisingly)
Microsoft have found a solution which i do not understand. This is the link to the error report:

Dell Axim Pocket PC Questions

Dell, Windows, Or Me?
Weird problem with speakers.... (7) Ok, I've had this problem for about a year. I've tried every single configuration offered
by the BIOS, Windows, and even the hardware itself, but my speaker's refuse to be balanced!
Though Windows says they are, I know my speaker's are unbalanced. The right is louder than the
left. I have absolutely no clue what's wrong with it, so here's system specs:
