Thank you for supporting Astahost for all these years and as promised, I am proud to announce the launch of Credit System v3.0. Credit System 3.0 offers complete accounting of user posts which also counts features like views, popularity and reputation to help better distribution of cents.

Unlike Credits, which used to represent 1 day of hosting, we now have a new point system called "cent". And yes, each cent represents 1 American "cent". The goal is to make good posts and gather 100 cents. Every time you cross 100, your cents will be converted to US Dollar and deposited into XistoSupport.com Billing/Shopping area.

To claim your earnings, simply register above with the same EMAIL which you are maintaining in our records at Trap17.com. suppose, at Trap17, your email address is ABC@ABC.COM, then the email used to register at XistoSupport.com should also be ABC@ABC.COM. Once linked, an account cannot unlink unless you want to freeze the forum account.

Your account will get linked automatically within 4-5 hours. Login to your account and you should be able to see "Account Credit Balance: $X.xx". Your member information beside your post will carry myCENT field where you can check your CENT earning value. Once you earn more than 100 cents, it will be deposited automatically into XistoSupport.com Billing area.

Yes, After we discontinue Hosting Credits System, it will soon cause the linked account to get automatically deleted from the Server.

Existing Members: "Will I be ever asked to Pay? Do I need a Credit Card?"

As long as you are active on our forums making good posts, You keep accumulating your myCENTS automatically. This is as good as real money and hence, you do not require any Credit Card, Age Proof or any Contracts.

Credit System v3 General Information Regarding Multiple Accounts, AstaHost and Trap17 forums FAQ

Q1 I have Trap17 and AstaHost forum accounts. How does myCENT work and can I transfer from one to another to pool my credits?
A1 If you use the SAME email address for both forums, Billing and Support will automatically merge your credit balance. There's no need for worry.

Q2 What about the policy of not having multiple hosting accounts?
A2 The current Credit System allows multiple hosting account IF you can keep up the credits. Since the credit balance is centralized by your email, multiple forum accounts posting with the same email will earn all credits to one Billing account. But our forum is set so that you cannot use an email address more than once. You can have one account in Trap17 and another one in AstaHost.

Congrats on the new system!

One question though - was I supposed to get some myCent into my account? Long back (quite long) - I was a member here and I had availed the free hosting. After some time, I shifted to paid hosting at ComputingHost.com.

So, was curious if it were a glitch in the system.

Credit System v3.0 launched on October 18th, 2008 for Trap17 and October 21th for AstaHost. Any prior earnings and credits are not part of the new credit system.

How does the system decide how much myCENTS does a user get once he registers with the billing area? I am asking because my credits have been waaay below zero after I cancelled my hosting (due to an error during the cancellation), and yet I gained a certain sum on my account.

Iam kinda confused

Where did the 2 $ come from O.o, is it a bonus for signing up or so?
Also what does mycents stand for, mine is 40. something
Another question, a .com domain costs 9.99$ for a whole year, iam already at 2$. How much credits will it cost me to reach the required payment, also do i have to verify a bank acount or credit card to be able to use the $? cuz i don't have neither.
Finally, can someone who is NOT REGISTERED neither at asta host or at computinghost purchase me $ their without registering? might be a substitute for money services (paypal....) for my website since all money i will make will go to improving my website not personal profit, for now atleast.

*applauds* One fairly critical point I'd like to raise? Any chance of sending out an email to people who have an account here about this new system? I only became aware of it because I happened to notice the threads in the latest activity section. Perhaps a PM to all members or something?

Anyway, aside from that I'm still a smidgen confused about how it's going to work. The new credit system (3.0) is going to replace our current one? If so, will/do we have to do anything to keep our current sites (namely those already done) hosted? Is this in addition to the hosting system offered by AstaHost? Basically, if I keep posting here will I keep my hosting, even if I don't sign up for anything at the Xisto billing page?

Just a few things I'd like clarified, as I'm a little low of hosting credits at the moment so would quite like to know what the future of my hosting plan is.

More importantly, I suppose: I take it that our initial myEarnings are from our post history?

- The 2USD came from your previous post history.
- myCENT is a sweet name for real CENT in USD. Instead of Credits, now you earn directly real cents.. i.e. myCENTs.
- You do not need any credit card or bank account.
- After you collect 100 myCENTs, it automatically gets converted to 1 USD.


- Yes, Mails will be sent and I want another confirmation if you did not receive any mail yet.
- Say, you have $10 in your account. You may buy a logic plan at xistosupport.com/billing for say $2.5 a month. Then, you are all set for 4 months as your balance will be used for keeping your hosting up.
- It is recommended that you sign-up for Logic-Plan package at XistoSupport.com/billing

Wow, Good job guys! It looks awesome and like it took a lot of hard work. I'm still kind of confussed though, do we still just post as we normally would and are websites are hosted? Do I have to do anything other than sign up on that site OpaQue said to sign up on?

Yes, that's correct. Instead of earning hosting credits as you contribute to our forum you will earn myCENT. For every 100 myCENT you earn it will deposit $1 to your Account Credit Balance. Although you physically did not transfer or deposit a real money, you can use Account Credit Balance to purchase anything Billing and Support offers. And ComputingHost will honor your Account Credits as though it's a real cash.


We are still ironing out the process. But for now there's a talk of just registering every member to Billing system. OpaQue may automatically set the invoice for your current hosting and send you a reminder to pay for next 1 year hosting price, or monthly installment. But whatever the case may be, we're still working on the plan so we'll let you know.
