Hi, I just got my new hosting account and was wondering if I can upload a zip file and get it
unzipped in the server? Normally I wouldn't mind unzipping and sending it using FTP, but
sometimes I'm somewhere else (like my workplace) and they don't allow FTP. Uploading the
files one by one is going to be tedious since my zip files usually have almost 100 files or more.

Don't know if I'm in the right subforum for asking that question. But I really have a
strange problem. Since a few days I started not to be able to access my cpanel with Internet
Explorer. I keep getting 504 or 503 errors (remote page not available or not found). It's not
due to astahost because I can reach my cpanel from my office's computer. Only home I cannot !
Unfortunately, it's the place where I should use it. It behaves as if the 2082 service port was
unavailable. Is there something in IE6 settings (under XP) preventing my PC to open something...

O.K., I've seen the posts on which are the best free FTP clients and I decided to pick
Filezilla. I've downloaded it, and read a bunch of stuff here on astahost on how to use FTP.
But the one thing I can't seem to find, is how to get the program I downloaded to my Cpanel. I
saw NilC (I think that was it) pinned post at the beginning of this section, but, it was for some
other program. I tried saving Filezilla to my computer and running the .exe, getting all the files

I'm so irritated with the amount of spam I get on the email accounts I have hosted at AstaHost.
It isn't the servers fault that I get so much junk mail! It wouldn't be so bad but my junk
mail filter on my home system doesn't scan IMAP accounts which I use since my email client
won't separate POP3 accounts properly. So I finally got to the point I had to do something!
I'm getting about 25 junk mail messages a day spread over 5 different email accounts. If I go a

A few minutes ago I received an automated mail notifying me about 109.68% (548.38 Megs) of disk
space used by my hosting account. It was extremely surprising because I have not uploaded anything
in a while. Nevertheless, I went back to CPanel and looked into the Disk Usage Viewer. It could only
account for ~295 MBs. While, I can free up quite a bit of space from the Trash directory, I am

Well its been about a week now since i havent been able to access anything hosted on the gamma
server (including the gamma.xisto.com address) and its starting to annoy me. my brother "co-owns" a

It's been quite some time since I have even tried, but all I am getting is "Unable to connect"
in firefox. Also faqs.astahost.com is failing with the same message (main site url and forums them
selves seem to work fine....), what is up with different parts failing (it used to happen several
times a day with the forums), and it's random at which is working and which isn't lol. Well
the forums haven't given me any issue in a long time at least....

When I Try to access the CPanel, I am greeted with the 'Login Attempt Failed' error. The
default FTP account is not working either. I haven't had any modifications with my site yet, so

Ok, well I really don't like the rv series theme that astahost has, and I know I have seen a
couple of others here that feel the same, so I thought I would create this poll about it, you never
know maybe we'll find something out from this. I just find the standard cpanel theme so
professional and easy to use, and the rv one, just doesn't have that look and feel to it, at
least to me. So what does everybody else feel about the different cpanel themes?...

Hum. Cpanel isn't opening for me. It just gives a blank page, and I'm not sure what's
