| | I know that astahost has its custom theme for cpanel and everything, but after having a number of other hosts with cpanel, I have grown used to the default cpanel theme.
Is there any way that we can have in the options for themes, the default cpanel theme? Thanks for taking the time to look at my suggestion, Brian |

I assume you meant the "dull-colored" cPanel? I don't see any option that will allow you to change that in cPanel. You might have to use what Astahost provided which is the brighter theme You can change the color of the theme if it helps. Just log in to you cPanel account and scroll to the very bottom where it says Language and Theme, and click on Theme. Choose the color that best suits your liking.

I know that you can change the color of the theme, as well as the language.... What I was hoping is that there was a possibility that the original default ("dull colored"), theme could be added to the list of theme choices somehow....

Is it me, or it is for everyone? I used to use the CPanel theme without the Images, the blue one, that it would load much faster, due to I know there everything almost in my memory, so they were useless for me, as I don't want to waste time to see the pictures loading.. Anyway, when I change the Theme through CPanel and after I logout and close the browser, open it again, the default theme is used again? Is it my cookies, or is it something with CPanel setting a bad cookie or maybe it saves in some hidden file on the server what theme I am using? I don't really know, but this started when all the members of Astahost got the superb upgrade of extra space and bandwidth! :? This is a bit annoying, but of course, I can live with it as I am still happy!

@Quatrux: Are you able to change the Theme to the "classic" view? The newer layout is much more brighter and the icons are in different locations (which needs adjusting to for those who are accustomed to the older styled theme).

A Small (?) Suggestion.
(5) Looking over the board rules I have noticed that there is no rule explicitly against resurrecting
long dead posts, as evidenced by the resurrection of yet another Gimp vs Photoshop thread. This one
just happens to be four years old. Frequently I have noticed these topics being resurrected by
"iGuest"; I am unsure what exactly that means. Oft times threads get resurrected by new members
coming in trying to earn early points fast. I will admit this is very much a personal opinion but
I think the practice is overall bad for the boards. Adding a comment to a dead topic may....
The News/announcemnt/advertisement Scroller/fader
A suggestion about that thing. (4) This is about the box with a red border at the top of every page that displays some advertisement
and announcement. Everytime the box fades between two announcements/advertisements, every
animation/game freezes until the fading is over. This is very annoying in the arcade, as you
probably can imagine. I am using IE 6, that might be the problem, but that fader should not be a
problem. This, I think is a pretty big problem (for the games mostly). Is it possible to make the
fader not interfere with the other content on the page. (If this has been adressed elsewhere, ....
More Hosting Credits For Tutorials
just a suggestion... (2) hey, i was looking at the tutorial section, and noticed that tutorials contribute a lot more to the
forum. if you look at the reactions, most tutorials are greatly appreciated. i'm not sure if it
would be a good idea to give tutorials more hosting credits, considering there might be even more
spammers - copy&paste even now happens too much, and i'm not doing it for me, either, i only
posted one, and am kinda nubish /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0"

Suggestion/querry: Art Forum?
Just tossing up an idea. (6) To the Admins I was wondering what you guys think of possibly hosting an art sub-forum. It seems
that there are at least a few people here who might be interested in this. Basically, it'd exist
separately from the graphic design forum and would be focused more on art for art's sake rather
than a pure design aspect that would be for a more practical use. It would be a good way for the
artists here to share their work, gain some exposure and receive feedback from their peers. I was
thinking that it could be split into two sections, a discussion section and a gall....
A Quick Little Suggestion...

Suggestion: Glossary Of Web-related Terms
Everyone know the definition of these? (6) Here's some web-related terms that I think belong in an on-site glossary for forum members and
guests: ASP CGI Cron Perl Java Javascript PHP Python SSI SQL FTP URL CSS HTML XHTML DHTML XML W3C
These terms are probably just the tip of the iceberg. Now I'm not exactly a total computer newb
but I'd be hard-pressed to give a clear, concise explanation of half of these terms. Would a
considerable number of members benefit from seeing an on-site glossary of these and other
web-related terms?....

Suggestion-unactive Users
(10) I read what you said about unactive users and how their hosting will be terminated if they
aren't active, but people do go on vacations, and things happen where they don't have time
to edit their page and add links to them etc. I think you should make a rule where if you are
inactive for one week, you have one week until you have to either add the links, or PM an admin with
a parapgraph of your reasoning, and when you will return, because that gives members time to contact
you, because if people move or they lost internet connection it may take time to get it bac....
