That's Strange, I've used CPanel at many sites, and I've never had a problem with it.  Have you asked the site admins about the space problem? That's what I would recomend. YB

When your account gets created - its preconfigured to host a wide variety of files (plain html, php, frontpage extensions etc.) - you'll find a lot of folders and files quite a few of which you won't need if you plan to use just php/html files in conjunction with Apache Web server. You need to log into your cPanel and use the File Manager and delete all files and folders EXCEPT: 1. public_html 2. public_ftp 3. Any files and folders that begin with a "." (dot) 4. A file named www that is actually a link to your public_html folder The rest all you can safely wipe out and recover the rest of your space...But don't mess around with the files/folders in the list above. New Hosting - Dns Help
about DNS (2) Ok so my name is finally in red... (yay!!! thanks!!!) and I of course went to create my hosting
account... everything perfect. Now I have some questions about the domain and DNS: 1) I have my
own DNS servers using DNSPARK. The thing is, according to the instructions I should change my
Nameservers for the astahosts ones, bypassing my dns server completely. I was gonna ask if it's
possible to use my DNS server and point my domain to the IP provided by you, I did it and at least I
can see the "success" page, where it says "this page is hosted at astahost". I want to u....
Full Disk Usage Warning In Cpanel
(7) A few minutes ago I received an automated mail notifying me about 109.68% (548.38 Megs) of disk
space used by my hosting account. It was extremely surprising because I have not uploaded anything
in a while. Nevertheless, I went back to CPanel and looked into the Disk Usage Viewer. It could only
account for ~295 MBs. While, I can free up quite a bit of space from the Trash directory, I am
wondering what's causing the disk space to be misreported. Edit : I have emptied the Trash

(21) Well its been about a week now since i havent been able to access anything hosted on the gamma
server (including the gamma.xisto.com address) and its starting to annoy me. my brother "co-owns" a

Blocked From My Own Account
HELP! (12) Ok this is really strange. I am blocked from accessing my own site and cPanel. When I go to
http://portal.trap17.com/ or http://portal.trap17.com/cpanel/ , it can't connect to the
server. I tried it at school, both cPanel and main site, and it works fine. Initially I thought it
was because I installed ZoneAlarm on my computer so it blocked me but I tried disabling everything

Hosting Not Coming Back
(7) I was inactive for a few days and had negative credit. Then, I came back and posted until I had 11
credits, which should have allowed my site to go back up automatically. Unfortunately, this is not

Some suspicious issues!!! (17) Ok first of all I had this issue of my cPanel/FTP password not working:

didn't change any settings of user authentication, etc. So then I reset my password using the

Why Is My Account Suspended?
I have enough credits (2) Hi admins. I am trying to stay calm, but I am sort of freaking out now. I go to my site hosted at

and it states: "This Account Has Been Suspended Please contact the billing/support department as

Cannot Send Email After Account Upgrade
Outgoing mail broken after upgrade to paid account (3) I just upgraded mistymanor.astahost.com to a paid account. Since the upgrade, outgoing mail is not
working. Specifically, for mistymanor.astahost.com, using mail.mistymanor.astahost.com with
eric@mistymanor.astahost.com as the username, 587 for the port number, and the appropriate password,
sending mail from Apple Mail on OS X 10.4.8 fails. This account worked prior to the changeover.
Incoming mail still works. I have tried using "mistymanor.astahost.com" (dropping the "mail.") as
the mail server. I have tried with/without SSL. I have tried sending the message with Squ....

Showing some error message (9) Hi all, I was trying to upload some files to my account using cpanel! There was no problem in the
beginning! But suddently it shows one error message as: Sorry for the inconvenience!
The filesystem mounted at / on this server is running out of disk space. cPanel operation has been

Space Usage..
Question about space usage after deleting some stuffs using cpanel (3) Can anyone tell me how space usage is computed in the cpanel.. When i check, the control panel yank
at me that i was using 150MB of space.. so i was full and i need some data more to upload.. what i
have done is modify the code and erase my entire ftp account for files.. but the control panel still
says i was on full usage.. no files in the trash and i also use the explorer for web space usage in

Can't Access The Cpanel!

Unzip Files In Cpanel?
Can files be unzipped in cPanel? (6) Hi, I just got my new hosting account and was wondering if I can upload a zip file and get it
unzipped in the server? Normally I wouldn't mind unzipping and sending it using FTP, but
sometimes I'm somewhere else (like my workplace) and they don't allow FTP. Uploading the
files one by one is going to be tedious since my zip files usually have almost 100 files or more.
