The reason is you're accessing cPanel using https. It's regular http://site/cpanel where "site" is your domain name. You must click "yes" to security certificate message window.

There was a brief outage with Gamma server for adjusting clusters. Your hosting shows the default index page and I can see your cPanel login again. Firefox, if you are using, seems to be having difficulties in connecting with cPanel these days. I tested with IE and connected by hitting refresh button when it seems bit slow. You can always check for Server/Network status by going to the top of the forum menu, Xisto > Server/Network Status

I'm having a LOT of trouble logging in because everytime I type in http://h2.astahost.com/cpanel it brings me to https://h2.astahost.com:2083/ then if I try to log in it does https://h2.astahost.com:2083/login . It won't let me do this in http because http://h2.astahost.com:2083/ doesn't exist!

Personally, I don't have any problems connecting to the CPanel, if you don't want to connect with a ssl connection, just type any of your domain hosted with astahost account and use the port :2082 and if you want to use ssl, use the port 2083 but with https <- type the s letter for ssl.. it will pop an authorization box where you need to type your username and password, do it correctly and you will be accessing your CPanel!

The proper question is: which IP should you list it as trusted? The answer is your domain, of course; not AstaHost. However, your sub-domain provided by AstaHost can be found by pining your sub-domain name. Start > run > cmd And type QUOTE ping h2.astahost.com This will show your sub-domain's IP address (which is the IP address for gamma server)

One way of doing that is, opening the Zone Alarm alerts, you will see that astahost was blocked, click on the line where the blocked site is displayed, you will se a pop-up appearing, click in "add this site to the trusted zone".

Can't Access Cpanel - 'login Attempt Failed'

Question About cPanel And FTP?
how does it look like?? (4) i am new to this ASTA service and did try it yet and considering requesting an Account but i am not
sure about something. first the FTP: many sites have cheated on me with FTP account , does it work
with "my" FTP account meaning that i can connect to the FTP account using my own FTP client without
having problem uploading and downloading files?? and secoundly , the Cpanel. how does it look like
(friendly user interface) and is it easy to use non-like other hosting services which provide a
