| | An university student was convicted to 10 years of prision for posting porn contents in his website. According to China Daily, the young boy live in Wuxi and he decided to post 847 porn photos and 777 porn videos, in an attempt to increase his website visitors. This website was at begining a simple internet buisness to sell flowers. With porn introduction the website count 2,39 Millions of visitors with only to months.
Besides the arrest he has to pay 10 000 iuanes.

I do not thing FLOWERS + PORN is a good combination.. if I want to buy flower online, I wont click into this site. even I click into this website, I wont buy any product from it. Can you really trust a online flower selling shop which offer you pornographic?? I don;t.

Porn sites are popular, but did you mean 2 months ? Maybe having some adult content is quite good, but I am only joking, I don't really understand what is so funny to browse some porn sites :| Well I have several friends who do it, but they better do something else instead. Anyway, 10 years in prison is to much in my opinion, but it is China, good - one more porn site less, but a lot of new ones appeared

It was a slight overreaction but still to post porn and flowers together is really unecessary. I think porn should be banned from internet all together but still I doubt the boy should get 10 years punishment and have to pay all that money. I agree with jedipi that it doesn't really add to the trust if you add porn on a flower selling sight. I mean what is to stop that person from misusing the information.

wow, it's pretty obvious that you would get cought I don't know why anyone would use porn to try to sell flowers. 10 years is alot but its obvious that you'll get cought when you have 239 million people going onto your site so he shouldn't of just done it in the first place.

Could you post a link to the relevant news article? =^^= Nothing unusual about going to jail for putting up porn, but the 10-year sentence certainly seems extreme. Then again, this is China we're talking about — the same country that pressured Google into censoring the Internet. Extreme is a fact of life for them. One thing I wonder about, though, is how the kid figured that porn would help sell flowers. Selling porn subscriptions I can understand, but flowers? =^^=

That is one of the most hilarious things I've read about on the internet in a while. Course there was probably a large gap in the number of visitors on the website and the number of people who actually bought flowers. 10 years for a porn site. As I said above it probably didn't help flower sales. It probably just increased the amount of visitors...and the amount he had to pay his host for the giant leap in Bandiwith usage.

@cyborgxxi Forbidding all porn on the internet is like the most impossible thing to do. Not only is it impossible to unite with a democratic thinking, but also a task impossible to execute at the present point. I would generously estimate that 80% of all internet sites somehow contain porn and of the data amount floating the net and being downloaded in filesharing I would estimate, that it amounts to 90%. Probably it's not all that bad, but I guess there are some studies out there, that have similarly dramatic results. I'm just wondering: Aren't the Chinese allowed to surf any foreign sites at all? I thought it was limited to certain subjects, which would make it impossible to ban all the official, inofficial and semi-official porn sites, not to mention all the stuff on the different sharing networks...

^ I don't think adding porn content is an effective marketing strategy. Yes, people may flock on his site but it's not a guarantee that they will buy flowers. He's very irresponsible.

Lol this guy doesn't know how to get the right visitors to his website at all. And how many of the people who are looking for porn to find this guy's website would want to buy some flowers? Anyways 10 years in prison.. I think that is a little much, but if it's illegal I guess he got what was coming.

Wow, thats very interesting news. I never knew that you can get arrested for posting porn on your site. I mean if you did run a pornographic business site, its your site and your business. Interesting that they would go through the trouble to arrest him. And I dont quite understand why they would, unless the pornographic material that he posted was copyrighted and he did not have the rights to release them like he did and use it for profit. But pornographic websites are fairly popular on the internet and vast amount of traffic can be generated easily with nudity and sex. Like the saying says sex sells, and that is a certainty. Man, from thinking about what I just read, I just realized that it is kind of drastic for him to have 10 years for having a porn flower business site. Is porn sites illegal in china or something, if it is then that is rather odd. If the internet was able to prevent porn, I am pretty sure the evolution of the internet would have evolved the way it did. Many people 90% of the time probably end up searching for pornographic material or accidently end up on a pornographic site. Durring that time they are exposed to the virus that is the internet that attracts another computer user. With so many people using the internet today, the internet gradually evolved, to imagine if no one wanted to use the internet, Im sure the technology would probably would fade away into thin air like the vcr players which faded away and taken over by cd or dvd players.

Trouble With Opera Website Or Me?
(7) This just started occuring when I downloaded the new version of Opera. I think there must be setting
for this but I cant find it. Anyway whenever I go to a web page Opera loads it from memory (not the
internet). Now this speeds up your computer (or it should) but does not provide up-to-date
information. The only way I could find to get around this is to press the refresh button but when
you are using forums like I do pressing the refresh button on every page just to get it updated
takes a lot of time (not to mention it is anoying). Does anyone know how to solve this prob....

noticed there to be around 300 visitors. Definitely those "flooders". What the communist....

a .tk web domain for free. Though there is lots of advertisments on it. An even better domain for
free site is .de.vu This is a german site, though if you understand a little bit of german, you can

good. remember you need to become member and give them your email etc. So in the end a real .com
