| | Ever since yesterday, I wasn't able to access my site http://maxotek.net, so I tried others' sites like http://www.handyphp.com, none of which opened. I've tried PINGing the sites and have received no response as yet. I've heard that there were some changes to the IP addresses for the shared IPs. Just a while ago, I heard from a friend of mine that he was able to access the sites. Another one reported of a Gateway Timeout error.
Do I need to make some changes in the CPanel or will this be solved automatically? |

I'm having the same problem right now, its telling me that I was un-able to establish a connection to the server. But it's not my internet, cause I can access any other website that isn't hosted on astahost.

Well imagine you actually paid money for this hosting like i did!! Once again they mess with the hosting..once again they inform NO ONE. Once again ALL thier customers are stating at blank sites for over a day now. I get NO response from making a trouble ticket. I get NO response from Live support. And this is NOT the first time this has happened, I have been suspended for paying my bills on time and got no apology for this - again lost a whole day getting this sorted out. ANother time they moved the servers for some reason, I lost my sites for over 24 hours then. And theeres me looking at 99% uptime WTF does that mean to XISTO? Also the speeds of the hosting well I must say its as bad as being hosted here!@!@ I wait and i wait most days for the MYsql server to react, It honestly is better on the free hosting servers. one VERY UN SATISIFIED customer who is waiting for the hosting to come back just to grab his files and go to www.hostgator.com Yes and I used to be a Xisto fan..today left with EGG on my face cos I reccommended Xisto to others, now they are screaming at me "WHERES MY WEBSITE GONE?"

Wow, that may be the first time anyone other than me has use the Handy PHP link in a topic!  Anyhow, there was an urgent need to work on the servers and typically, these kinds of things do not go smoothly or as planned... This is becoming an issue I think. I hope that next time, at least there's some type of official announcement on the board than just have people looking here for information. I was wondering what happened to cPanel yesterday and what happened to my website right now.... The Xisto system status page is broken since the support system was moved but the old link is still in place. Please rectify this problem. xboxrulz

Server Overloads
(11) Alright, this is becoming a major problem. For the past few days, the Gamma server has been
overloading a lot. The server has reached a load peak of 14.92 thus disabling services like PHP, CGI
and have even shut down MySQL once. This is as big of a problem as XBOX Live having problems from
the past few days. At the time of writing, Gamma's httpd has crashed. Just as a
suggestion, Astahost needs to update the HTTP server software, Apache 1.3.33 is ancient. The latest
stable version is 2.2.6. xboxrulz....

server (including the gamma.xisto.com address) and its starting to annoy me. my brother "co-owns" a

Alternate Way To Access
(0) I've just got my hosting account in Astahost. I've registered the account with my domain,
delivi.info Actually I've a site running with the same domain in my previous host. So I cannot
change the nameserver for the domain now before transferring the files from my previous host to the
present account. So without the my domain pointing to the astahost nameservers, I can access the
cPanel through gamma.xisto.com, but how I can i view the site site tho make sure that it is working

Something Odd On My Site......
(9) I went to check out my site today and low and behold, some spyware try loading itself and some .wmv

Mysql Error Never Seen On My Site Before (too Many Connections).
(13) I just tried to visit my site to see if anything had changed on my forums and such and I got this

The browser gives a "Server Timeout Error". Is this a temporary server downtime, or do I have to

Problems With PHP/Joomla On Hosted Site
PHP sevred pages are blank in Firefox, network error in Safari (9) I am having some odd problems with my hosted site. They started sometime yesterday. I have not made
any changes for about two weeks. In Firefox, the index page (index.php) for Joomla comes up blank.
I can access my Control Panel and can check that the files are there and look correct. No favorites
icon is displayed either and the page source is empty. In Safari, I get the favorites icon but then
get a network error and a blank page ("Safari can’t open the page “http://mistymanor.astahost.com/”.

since server shift (1) Hello, I use multibyte functions to split a string by letter and I was wondering if you could turn
them on again, because they were on before the server shift (and they are in PHP by default) and now

Astahost Banner Or Icons?
Something to display on my site? (2) As I am setting up my site, I am looking for two things, one is a set of icons to display in the
footer with links to the various technologies and vendors I use, the other is a set of rotating
