Well its been about a week now since i havent been able to access anything hosted on the gamma server (including the gamma.xisto.com address) and its starting to annoy me. my brother "co-owns" a site hosted here and he hasnt been able to go on it or anything so he told me to ask about it. So it was when i was uploading EZ Publish (via ftp) to my site it happened. after like 500 files it lost connection and wouldnt connect. later on i found that i couldnt get on my site or cpanel either. i then went on my best friends site hosted here and couldnt access it so i went on other sites hosted here and couldnt get on them either. I don't no whether to bother submitting a ticket because i no it wont get replied to. is my IP banned or something? its not my computer because my brother cant get on anything astahosted on his wii either. ive played around in pc cillin but i cant find anything, and ive approved all the sites but cant get on them. so if any admin reads this, is there anything wrong with it? something that needs to be fixed on your end?

Very strange your situation because the gamma server is my hosted server and i can access everything without any problem, cpanel, ftp, etc. Right now, i'm logged in to my cPanel and the server status shows that the server is up for 16days, 7:56min and all the service status are up. Do you try to perform a ping to gamma.xisto.com????? if true, what are the results??? i just do it and the results are fine too. Best regards,

ping and tracert both time out. i tried it a few days ago. the worst part is, friends can get on them. I have to use a proxy if i want to go on them. i havent been able to do much on my site lately either. its really annoying.

It seems like an IP ban to me, I'm not sure what it could be, so maybe someone of the administration could help you. You could try accessing the sites with a proxy, as a temporary solution though.

Have you submitted a support ticket at www.xistosupport.com yet? Because that will be the only way to know if your IP got blocked in someway, which I doubt unless astahost servers believe the IP number that was being used tried multiple times to log into the cpanel unsuccessful and so they got locked out. So I would drop a support ticket with your IP and see if something happened with it.

yeah i submitted one last night but god knows when/if ill get a reply. even though the live support was online when i submitted it (i shouldve looked before i sent it) i still didnt get a reply. a while ago i sent a ticket asking about computinghost and got a reply but do they even look at the astahost one?

ive been sitting here with the live support open for over 7 minutes and "stanley" still hasnt said a word or answered anything ive written. i hope something can be done, id really like to work on my site. i dont want to buy hosting yet.

thats explains that then, lol. the email i got when i sent my ticket said if my issue hasnt been solved within a day. then again thats probably just a thing that Kayako put in there as the default email. anyway, if i dont have a reply tomorrow, ill complain i spose, the email told me to. i sent it last night.

Also if you ever run programs like PeerGuardian, then make sure they are disabled, they can block access to parts of AstaHist/Xisto (might only be HTTP blocking).

w00t!!! its fixed! i tried live support again and they got things sorted out. they had to remove my IP from the firewall. firefox, u should give live support another go.

I found a CGI proxy that allowed me to transfer a backup of my sites/databases to a GZIP file, but it was very scary as my password could have been captured. Still no FTP yet.

i found a web based ftp client which im using for the time, just to keep things running. although i cant even see what im doing so its not gonna be good enough. i really hope i can get things sorted out soon. i need to get on my site and my brother needs to get on habble.

it looks like your gateway to the US is via NZ. It then gets to a AT&T network in LA and seems to stop there. It looks like the AT&T seems to be having problems. I think the reason proxys are working is because they are using a different connection to the gamma server. as yordan said in the other post there must be a problem with certain networks, their gateways and the routing between networks

Can't Access Any Site Hosted On The Server
(4) Ever since yesterday, I wasn't able to access my site http://maxotek.net , so I tried
others' sites like http://www.handyphp.com , none of which opened. I've tried PINGing the
sites and have received no response as yet. I've heard that there were some changes to the IP
addresses for the shared IPs. Just a while ago, I heard from a friend of mine that he was able to
access the sites. Another one reported of a Gateway Timeout error. Do I need to make some changes
in the CPanel or will this be solved automatically?....
Full Disk Usage Warning In Cpanel
(7) A few minutes ago I received an automated mail notifying me about 109.68% (548.38 Megs) of disk
space used by my hosting account. It was extremely surprising because I have not uploaded anything
in a while. Nevertheless, I went back to CPanel and looked into the Disk Usage Viewer. It could only
account for ~295 MBs. While, I can free up quite a bit of space from the Trash directory, I am
wondering what's causing the disk space to be misreported. Edit : I have emptied the Trash

Astahost Problem
(16) I have been having trouble with astahost for the past few days but now it is worse then it has been.
I think I may have gotten banned but I have enough host credits. Whenever I go onto my website or
cpanel (or anyone else’s website that is hosted on astahost). I get: The domain "www.

wrong? Has anyone else noticed this problem? I just wanted to bring it to your attention. It seems

seems something about them that doesn't quite make them as enjoyable to be in. To me it seems

beginning! But suddently it shows one error message as: Sorry for the inconvenience!

Question about space usage after deleting some stuffs using cpanel (3) Can anyone tell me how space usage is computed in the cpanel.. When i check, the control panel yank
at me that i was using 150MB of space.. so i was full and i need some data more to upload.. what i

says i was on full usage.. no files in the trash and i also use the explorer for web space usage in

Unzip Files In Cpanel?
Can files be unzipped in cPanel? (6) Hi, I just got my new hosting account and was wondering if I can upload a zip file and get it
unzipped in the server? Normally I wouldn't mind unzipping and sending it using FTP, but
sometimes I'm somewhere else (like my workplace) and they don't allow FTP. Uploading the
files one by one is going to be tedious since my zip files usually have almost 100 files or more.
