I am currently using ECS K7S5A laugh.gif It was the cheapest motherboard i've seen in a compushop 3 years ago when I decided to assemble my box. It's about $27. Still works fine until now but I don't know if the components are still upgradeable, i'm doing my best to have the cheapest parts on my com and at the same time, something that would not be easily destroyed, something efficient and not defective - I guess i've done a good job. I'm planning to upgrade my RAM to 512 MB DDR and upgrade my processor to AMD Sempron 2.2 GHz, still, the cheapest good working box around. I'll also upgrade my current video card(64MB 3D VRAM) to a new one with a TV-out and video line in feature(128MB DDR 3D VRAM) cool.gif Well, i'm still looking for money to buy those new things.

My mobo is ASUStek P4S8X. Pretty good mobo and the company is very good with its products.

I had PCChips motherboard and I was not happy with the performance and supports. MSI was a little better.

I've tried Asrock, it is nice, it has Asus quality in low segment and it's cheap too. But still, i think Gigabyte from the same class is a bit better.. well, maybe because i've been using gigabyte for years and it never let me down.

    Need help in finding a cheap alternative. (4)
    My current motherboard: MSI 865PE NEO 2 MS-6728 Ver.1 I've done quite a few tests and it's
    unable to boot up. I replace the PSU and it still doesn't help. Wondering if anyone on here
    could help me find a reasonably priced MOBO for an alternative. I know nothing when it comes to

    So, I shuted down my PC. Then in the morning I tried to turn it on but nothing happend. I cleared
    case and tried to turn on againg. But nothing happend again! :-( I went to Service Center. They
    change my cooler on CPU. I got home and turned on my PC. All was OK. At the next morning when I
    turn it on on the screen was printed some about CPU and FSB. I shuted it down and wanted turn it on.
    But nothing happend. I went to Service Center... They said that my MB crashed. I bought new MB,
    but I want know why after cooler change it worked. ....

    I just bought a gigabyte K8N pro SLI mother board for a friend at a computer swap meet. At the meet

    the board took PCIE or AGP graphix cards, he told me they took AGP, of course i then went and bought
    an AGP card (Winfast A6600GT 128m). Is there no way that i can use my AGP card (short of buying a
