Age Of Wonders: Strategy Game - Anyone Plays ?

Does anyone play any of the AoW games? I love them. They're a lot like the Civ games, crossed with Age of Empires. They're fairly in depth games, and great for LAN parties. Although it can take several hours to finish one multiplayer game. If you have played them, whats your opinion on them?

Well I've never played AoW games but I do get one hell'a'va kick with Age Of Empires.. just can't seem to be able to wait to get my hands on Age of Empires III when it launches.. of course, when it does release, it'll probably be a few months delayed hitting the shelves here in India (like most new S/W is). However, I really do hope thay have a free trial or possibly a pay online and download version... Yummy.. that would sort things out.. :-)

Used to get in on LAN parties while I was in university and they were a riot.. there's never any time to do stuff like that any more though..

ya i love those games! but i can never get the full game i can only get demos sad.gif

    Anyone here play WC3 TFT? I just got it last week and i think its the best strategy game since
    starcract. The graphics are amazing for a strategy game, its all 3D. Now its not just orcs vs humans
    but also elfs and undead, which means about a hundred of new units/buildings/strategies u can use.
    Also now they have HEROES!!! this is 1 of the main differences from WC2...now you can get a hero and
    level him up by killing monsters and make him 1 mean lean killin machine. Just someone to lead your
    army with an aura that benefits all friendly units near by...Also you can equip y....

    This game is so super cool. I can't even believe this could run on my palm. The graphics is cool
    and so as the sounds... It's like a combination of starcraft and c&c games, yup so hard
    graphics... As far as I know this is the only best strategy game that I could play on the palm. the

    Im surprised noone mentioned C&C yet in the strategy forum! I wont say the series is the best in the
    gaming world, far from that, but in the strategy genre I personally reckon it is. The original game
    had a vivid and solid storyline told by two perspectives, one on each disc, which you can either be
    on the good side or the bad. The FMV sequences is a mixture of real-life people and cgi effects. The
    ingame graphics are good and challenging as they use it against you unabling yourself to see
    anything unless you have your men go over the land which makes more of it visible ....
