| | I'm currently using a Generic 400/450watt P4 PSU.
When I upgrade some hardware components soon, I'm thinking of getting a better quality one to make sure everything is fine (and I probably should have gotten one ages ago), but I don't have a whole lot to spend on it.
Basically what I'm looking to find out is what the equivalent is for a better quality PSU, as iv'e heard say a 350watt antec would beat the pants off a generic 450watter or some such.
I am looking at:
350W "Antec" Basiq ATX Power Supply, ATX12V version 2.01 complaint, Dual +12V Ouputs, 80mm fan, SATA connectors, Power Factor Correction which is $53.70 (AU).
Or
500W "EverPower" ATX 2.0 VER Power Supply with power cord and SATA cable, TUV, low noise, On/Off, Built-in Emi filter which is $60.70 (AU) |

i whould go for the 500W "everpower" beacause 350W can be too little for some sistems... but if you are totally sure 350 will be enough...buy the ANTEC... it's the classic contest... high quality but low power vs low quality and high power

Well i'd say that the EverPower is far better quality in comparison to the generic and has more power, so I either way I'm getting an improvement in both sectors. Seems like a winner for me .

I Need Advice On An AGP Video Card Around 150
(1) I have an older motherboard, and before I upgrade to a new pc, I would like to replace my old video
card. I want something that will be able to handle (to some extent) some of the newer video games -
Doom 3, etc. I am impartial to the brand, but I would like to stay with ATI or NVIDIA. I had a
GeForce 4 4800SE, and I am definately looking to upgrade from that. My budget is $100 - 150. I have
looked into the geforce 6800 gs I believe, which competes with the gt with about a -$200 price
deduction on it. I don't want the best available. I just want something that wil....
Buying New Graphics Card ... Need Advice On Compatibility
Nvidia for sure ... but which one for my M/B (19) I'm going to buy a new graphics card for my ASUS A7N8X-VM 400 Motherboard. It has an integrated
nVidia GeForce 4mx GPU, but I've decided it's time to upgrade cause I'm learning Maya
these days (also, all the new games need pixel shader support). What I'm worried about is which
graphics card is supported on my Motherboard. My motherboard supports 8x graphics 1.5V. Here are
some pics from the motherboard manual: Photos Gallery - PicTiger Does this mean
ABSOLUTELY ANY 8x graphics card will work with my motherboard? Does that include 2.0 ....
Advice On Upgrade A Computer For Image Processing
(1) Hello all, I need to upgrade a computer to increase its performance for image processing with adobe
photoshop cs. The problem I have is because digital pro-images are quite large (12megapixel) the
computer totally slow down when opening, aplying a modification,etc.. anything you do will take a
long time. The actual computer is a AMD athlon 64 +3400 with 1Gb of RAM. Graphics card is nVidia

kind of work? As this computer is not for gaming, I don't know if a better g....
Advice On MP3 Player Needed
Must have FM tuner + min. 2 GB capacity (22) Hello all ! Someone I know is flying to Dubai and has very kindly agreed to get me any electronic
consumer goods that I want. Right now, a personal music player is at the top of my "I want this..."
list. However, I want to ask the advice of users on the forum as to what particular model
they'd suggest. The following parameters are must-haves: At least 2 GB capacity FM tuner
ability to play WMA, MP3 - a must. (Plus points if it can also play MP4 / OGG / AAC) good battery

(13) My goal is simple.. to get a GOOD new pc. I think it's important to also mention what the pc

Advice On Eliminating Audio Noise, Please?
(21) I have a PC-based recording studio with a very specific problem. I am getting a sort of scratching
noise through the speakers when I move the mouse, load software or scroll web pages. It seems like
it is coming from the motherboard, but I can't tell for sure. I changed hard drives and sound
cards and it still exists. I'm using the on-board video controller, so I haven't yet
eliminated it as a suspect. Other people have described having the same problem and it was most
noticable for them when they had a laptop plugged into a PA system. They could hear the scra....
Digital Camera Advice
Looking for some advice on a digi-cam (8) So I've been thinking about it for a while and I'm pretty dead set on getting a camera this
month. I've done a little research http://www.steves-digicams.com/ and their buying guide
http://www50.shopping.com/xPP-Digital_Came...nkin_id-3053120 and I've pretty much settled on
the Konica Minolta S414 . My budget says I'll have about 250 to spend and I can pick up one of
these with a memory card, neck strap, case, 1yr warranty for about 270. I like the high optical
zoom, and the good megapixels for the money. Anyone who knows a thing or two about....
