Aww, cant wait to try CS 3. I hope my computer runs it.  Im usin CS 2 at the moment, so i hope my computer runs CS 3 tho.

I'm still using CS 1 and I'd be using version 6 if it wasn't that I got the entire suite for indesign and Golive. The reason being is that photoshop 6 did everything I needed and then some. It's to the point now that the only thing the new versions do for me is eat up more resources. I sure there will come a day when I switch from PPC macs to Intel macs that I'll need to upgrade all my software, but until then...,

Damn, adobe photoshop CS3 is already coming out? I just got adobe photoshop CS2. I dont know if I might get the third version because they rarely add enough interesting features for it to be worth it to be buying it. Programs these days is just ripping people off with their program releases, that can actually just come out as a patch or update. Features that they provide in the next version is no where that beneficial to designers. I remember when adobe photoshop went from version 6 to the creative suite, there were barely any changes but some fixes to bugs and additional easy user interface on adding filters and such. Then from CS to CS2 they fixed some bugs and added shortcuts which could probably be done in just one patch instead of a full release on a different version. But I guess that is how the world works, release something minor and see what you can make out of it. Consumers comes in different forms, veterans, noobs, and collectors. I fall under the veterans of the program, but Im sure those that dont have it already such as what I would call the noobs would probably buy the program, then there is the collectors that may just want to have it for the purpose of collecting. Well, I hope adobe photoshop CS3 will have enough improvements to be and convincing enough for me to buy it, otherwise Ill just stick with CS2 it does and fits me well.

I used to do lots of work in photoshop back in the day, but I lost interest after I became half-decent at it. I first started on photoshop 6, and quickly updated to 7. The next version I tried was CS2. After using that and weighing the pros and cons of both, I decided 7 was the way to go. Not many more visible features, plus it runs much smoother in my opinion! I have a pretty decent system, so have photoshop 7 fully load in about 2-3 seconds is great

Well.... I ain't sure which PC he is running. The system requirements say minimum of 384MB of RAM required for single instance to run. The processor requirement is Intel P3 or P4. Well, I've just got CS2. Will be installing it today. I have a PC with Athlon 3000+ 64Bit PRocessor and 512MB RAM.... It better work! Have they already Xcome up with CS3 for release in Q2 2007??? That's too much! Anyway, waiting for some awesome features.... I really doubt if that will run on my PC without upgrades though. Thanks for the info. MAy be wi will get trial downloads before its release?

Well, since adobe bught micromedia the new PS probly have some flash stuff in it think about the ability to make thing move and the effects like in flash to every singel photoshop layer that will be a great thing to and Flasher and Designer lol NoMore

Photoshop Cs2 Vs. Gimp

Plasma Effect In Photoshop
Done in CS, but should work in other ver (7) This is a tutorial to create a plasma background effect. We are trying to get with a few filters.
Step 1) Press 'D' to reset your colours, choose linear gradient, uncheck all bozes, black
to white, and go crazy. Step 2)Do a wave filter (filter>distort>wave) and hit randomize a few
times. Step 3)Press ctrl+j(duplicate layer) and repeat step 2 on the duplicated layer. Set layer
belnding mode to lighten. Step 4)Repeat steps 2-3 once. Step 5)Press ctrl+u, check colorize, and
change colour! Congratulations, now you're done!....
Gel Blast Using Photoshop
(1) This effect... WOW... im jsut speechless! pretty easy also, this reminds me of a program from
skyone... called Stargate, or a program like that 1. Make a new image, ours is 1000px x 1000px -
with a white background 2. Fill the background with Dark Blue In future at least make sure that you
mention which software you're using for creating these effects. Not really good to leave the
others groping in the blind, isn't it ? ....

Getting Antique Look In Photoshop
(5) Okay, I want to get an antique look for a graphic, and though I knew that Paint Shop Pro has a nice
simple button to do that, I haven't figured out a way to get it done the right way in Photoshop.
I mean, I tried a desaturate then hue/saturation with hue 38, sauration 20 and lightness 14, and it
came out looking like this: It's nice and all, but not exactly what I was looking

Opinions? Is it worth the upgrade? (13) I know I'm a bit slow about this, apparently it was released on April 5th, but does anyone have
any opinions on just specifically Photoshop CS2? I currently own Photoshop CS (bought it at
educational pricing), and to buy CS2 as an upgrade will still be around S$299, which is quite a bit
for me... Looking at all the new features didn't get me all excited, except maybe the
WYSIWYG font preview (which is super overdue, I think), and the new and improved file browser called
