Scripting

I was going to wonder what is the best way to learn a scripting language. I mean there are tons of
different ways including buying Books on internet of that langauge. You can also take tech
classes,or even internet classes, or best way to just learn by yourlself? Ive been messing alot
lately with Macromedia MX director. Ive been learning its scripting language called Lingo, but ive
just been learning from messing with source codes and server scripts. Is the best way trial and
error and repeat?...

I am very interested in learning how to create or start my own tutorial submitt site. What do I need

I have been assigning nic speeds for a couple years on all new boxes that we build in our
datacenters manually. I finally got fed up and picked up some vbscript books which have been a great

i think this space is over crowded. i think the administrator should make new topic here such as
PHP, ASP, JavaScript, "server side scripting", "client side scripting", etc. therefore, everyone
can focus on the topic they like the most and enable them to give questions at more proper place....

Of all the programming languages I have come accross, there is no language which is as fun to use
and easy to program in as Ruby. The iterators in the language and the use of code blocks is just
