If I want to use Linux, would I need XP or a OS on a LAPTOP already? Or can I just pure boot Linux?
I've wanted to use Linux for a while, preferably Ubuntu. Unless those are two completely

I am new to linux and just installed Kubuntu. I have windows XP on my master primary hard drive and
Kubuntu is installed on my slave drive. Everything seems to work great except that I cannot connect
to the internet when I boot into Kubuntu (I also tried Ubuntu). I am thinking maybe it has something
