| | I like ripway (i don't think it's listed). Though astahost is by far the best, In my book, its not really free. To me free meens "without charge of any type" (I'm not saying it shouldn't advertise it as being free) I just don't think you can rate web-hosting if some you have to participate in and some are free do nothing to join. Of 10 I will rate the web-hosts I have used (almost all ever lol) (10 is the better one no mater what)(ban=bandwidth) Astahost Upload: 10 Storage: 9 Free: 5 Ads: 10 Ban.: 7 Overall: 9 Geocities: Upload: 6 Storage: 6 Free: 10 Ads: 7 Ban.: 7 Overall: 7 0 catch: Upload: 5 Storage: 5 Free: 10 Ads: 0 Ban.: 7 Overall: 5 Freewebs: <no info> Overall: 8 Ripway: Upload: 8 Storage: 8 Free: 10 Ads: 10 Ban.: 5 Overall: 8
That's my personal opinion I suggest ASTAHOST! or Ripway. Thanks for reading. Resources: 0Catch www.0catch.com - 50 meg www.50meg.com - Geocities www.yahoo.com - Freewebs www.freewebs.com - Ripway www.ripway.com - Astahost www.astahost.com |

So far ive only had freewebs, piczo, and funtigo. i have not yet tryed to astahost i still need credits so at the moment i would say Freewebs by a long shot they let you use html and css and rss. but they dowbside is if you put music on any of the pages it drops your monthly bandwith by a shot.

AstaHost is better than each of the other options you mentioned in every single way. Not only does it offer the best professional hosting features for free with no ads, but it also has a great credit system. I believe this system is not just a way to let you earn the professional hosting, but it helps you join the community and learn new things as you go along. Freewebs, however, is a different story. Freewebs is best for beginners who have no experience whatsoever in hosting a website. It is the most user friendly and provides very easy to use tools for page building. But hands down, AstaHost, and Trap17 i guess, are the best free webhosts out there without a doubt

hmmmmmmm .... my best cohice every was ASTAHOST ...why ?? let me tell ya.. ***first some site give you some ad banner and pop-up windows which cover 40% of your front page .. and the result ... your site is ruined ***2 the space : lots of site gave you alot of services like php,sql ..bla ,bla ,bla you get excited but the only thing that shock you that they give you between 15-50 mb space as maximum or mabye 1 SQL database ... ***3 Cpanel: some sites have a space , php and SQL but the Cpanel they provide dirve you nut ...it's very slow and complex and un readable.. ***4 Honesty: most of the sites have a "thing" in thier "host"..... yes there's always a thing in it ... and with time you'll uncover the true of your host and discover that you have made another mistake by chosing that host ... ***5 support and help: most of the sites provide a small and non-helpful support and bad help center ... and either if you have a problem you gona look for the siloution for ever because you're just walking around in the same thing you read.... and For ASTAHOST ... it's everything but that ....

I'm not really sure on this because i havn't used astahost, i havn't used most of the hosts on the list, i've only used geocities and freewebs. I like freewebs HTML option, it's really good expecially if you want a site and you have a proper domain and everything because you don't get all the ads on it and it's much cleaner and fresher because of that. I think astahost is great because you don't have to keep posting on the forum every month and you can come back whenever you want to post so there's not pressure. I also the like the fact it provides the Cpanel which enables me to get my CGI forms working. My second favourite has to be lifelesspeople because althought I've got to fill a quota of posts every month it provides a great service and there's always someone to take to if you've got a problem on the forum. The community is really active and the discussion are great.

In the first phaze, I just thought of asta as a webhost without ads and a payne in the butt method of earning points (OK, sometimes, I still do). So, I tried virtually all possible web hosts, from the awesomely uptimed lycos, to the amazingly feature rich 110mb. With pros and cons in each one of them, I had to come back to asta. But, this time, I realized the real benefits of asta and since then haven't looked back. Lemme just list some of the pros and cons of some of the free webhosts I used:- Lycos:-+ Almost 100% uptime, infact never seen my site go down on it. + Unlimited Bandwidth + POP3 E-mail Support - Ads popping and framing up from all around my pages. - Extremely low space of 50 MB - Extremely big site address: http://members.lycos.co.uk/ntek- FTP Never works IPDZ:-+ Unlimited Bandwidth + No Ads + Short Web Address: http://ntek.ipdz.com- No POP3 E-Mail Support - Frequent Down Times - Slow Speed - Only Access Database - Listed as phishing site in McAfee Site Advisor - No CPanel (The thing they have is not qualified to be called one) Awardspace:-+ No Ads + 200MB Webspace - Bandwidth limit - Max File size limit set to 500 KB - Some Downtimes Ifastnet:-+ Good Webspace - 300 MB + Good Bandwidth - 20 GB + No Filze Size limitation + No Ads - Frequent Downtimes 110mb:-+ Huge webspace - 2000 MB + Immense Bandwidth - 100 GB + No Ads + Good load speed + Good Web based file manager - FTP doesn't always work - Feature fluctuations - Dunno when they'll take a feature off or introduce ads or forum postings. - No MYSQL (Uses some other free thingy which is no match to MYSQL, although it is faster) Astahost:-+ No Ads + Good Web Space - 150 MB + Virtually all possible features (Just look at the size of the CPanel ) + Excellent support due to the knowledgebale community In short, THERE IS NO BETTER FREE HOST THAN ASTAI just hope it stays this way.

I found another host the other day which i might try but so far i must say asta are the best. GO ASTAHOST YOU RULE!!!!!!! -Lewis

I haven't tried astahost, but I have tried freewebs. freewebs is ok for me because I'm a real beginner in website creation so I can't really comment. Astahost has a great community though, even without the freehosting, I still think that astahost is awesome.

through, having the payment come through paypal....my account doesn't exist on computinghosts

this, seeing how astahost provides such great service for free, and yet I pay for computing host
only to get changed for it and get nothing. I'll see, maybe it just takes them some time for
their system to process the accounts. But it would be nice if they said something like ....

Inexpensive Web Hosting: Hostingbest.com
Best low-priced web host based on experience with the company (2) After changing web hosts a couple times I found http://www.hostingbest.com . If you don't mind
using PHP 4 then they're an excellent host. They use cPanelX, mySQL, Postgresql, AwStats, &
make managing subdomains easy. Over the last two years of service with them they've had little
to no downtime and I've always had a fast load time. I found them by emailing a about twenty
hosts with questions I had about their services and hostingbest responded quickly (same day, I
think) to my email. I've had consistently good customer service over the last two....
Kingofhosts.com - Excellent Free Web Host
(27) For those who need a website that needs at most 5,000 mb; require FTP uploading, PHP & MySQL, and
especially for no price!, Then you should go to www.KingofHosts.com It's a really good website.
However, being the fact that it's free, what it doesn't offer (unlike astahost) is
Fantastico, PHPpgAdmin, and a lot of other free features that Astahost offer. It also has a bottom
text-ad but that shouldn't be too bad. I recommend this for those who don't want to pay for
a webhost or for those who can't keep up the activity here in Astahost. This threa....

Miamihost.net: Imagehosting

It started good, there was only a small banner on top, very small, but after a while they suddenly

php, nor sendmail). You can't use .httaccess files (gives a 500 error). It's a....
